I actually sold my target bow recently. I shoot my Mathews V3 31 for everything now. I use a 70# 85% letoff E mod for hunting and the 60# 80% letoff E mod for target. For some reason the 80% letoff mods on the Mathews switch weight is actually calculated 69-70% letoff. Works great for a nice steady hold. Awesome video man thank you.

Awesome shooting. I've given up at being that good with my small amount of practice so,...I'm customizing my bow to look hot lol 🏹🤠👍.

Good video I was thinking about getting a target bow, but, I probably will just stick with my PSE Brut force skull bow. My theory is one bow for everything. Thx

Good video. Being a good shot, wonder how you do with a full quiver in the hunting bow? See any variation in accuracy with your quiver or maybe compared quivers with arrows in quiver as if you were hunting. I test this myself and see my own results but don’t see good archers talk about it and wondered what results you may see being a good shot to start.

good question. whenever I can, I do remove the quiver even hunting. I just don’t like having to bias the bow over to make level. I do shoot it often with quiver though. I’ll almost never take a shot on game over 80 with the quiver on though. It doesn’t screw me up much... but when it does, not good. It’s messes me up more on the setup of the form and shot than actually executing. if I take too long to fumble around leveling because of quiver, I likely don’t make as good a shot at extended ranges.

Great comparison! Did exactly the same test (but used the same arrows/scope/stabs/weights/poundage on both bows, letoff 60% on both) with my Reckoning 38 vs my RevoltX 33 yesterday. Shooting 1 Vegas 300 round with each. Results: Reckoning 38: 298 21X RevoltX 33: 298 20X I think You actually can compete with both as pure target bows without hesitation. The 33 might even be better for Outdoors due to less wind drift and faster arrows :-) I will do the same test outdoors scoring a 50m WA 72 round soon. Will be interesting! And one more thing; if you use a thumb release instead, do you still get that micro movement just before the release? I Know I don’t. It often annoys me getting movement just before the back tension breaks. Its not much But its there... :-) On the other hand I never get target panic With the back tension, But when the thumb works, its clearly more Bullseyes 🎯

I agree with what you stated. By far, my cleanest 29x games are done with a thumb button. It's great when I first pick it up but somehow, over time, my shot gets faster with it and suddenly my dumb mind wants to slow it down and then it's over. I'll start shooting some out the bottom and its a downward spiral from there. At a point, it's almost like the thumb button fires too fast for me to really work through it and eventually my shot gets too efficient and my mind gets weaker/lazy as a result. So, I'm mostly stuck to a hinge (even if my x counts suffer some). Oh the archery struggle is real haha!! Yes, the thumb button parks better in the middle for me and breaks cleaner (until it doesn't). My hinge shot, I almost like to wiggle around a little around the middle as I work through it. If my hinge shot suddenly starts parking in the middle too well, it's almost worse for me to have that. I kind of like a small wiggle as I'm forced to work through it vs. sometimes freezing when it sits in the middle too well.

@@ryankohatsu8836 Agree, if everything settles to much and is perfectly, dead still, its almost impossible to decide when to release... it's much easier to fire under small movement. That's why it's a lot easier to shoot field otutside, preferable in light wind :-) If everything is to perfect it's almost as you freeze up and just waait, wait, wait for the perfect moment (that never comes) ha ha ;-) I have the exact same problem as you, I can shoot great with the thumb, but after 30-60 shots I start to overthink everything and start to wait to much before releasing... then if I just bring out the back tension for a couple of shots it makes wonders... and I can get back to the thumb again. Fortunately for me, they both hit the same spot without adjusting the sight,, so I often use both, even in the same series sometimes... The BT is ONLY for releasing the tension i get with the TB :-) But it is SOOOO annoying to have to do it, I really just want to use the TB.... but no go... ;-)
