It seems like not that long ago Stephen was putting up garland on the railings at your new house and now it’s a whole year later. Time is going by too fast. But this year will be extra special for you two watching Grace react to Christmas lights and music.
Fun fact they have those little birds for most of the major holidays! Sometimes they are super hard to find because there are so many collectors out there! I have a giant collection of them from over the years on my channel 😂
I think Do, Re and Mi would be great names for the little birds! I saw that Target has a Lego collab coming out in December, it seems like a perfect combo of two of your favorite places!
Highly recommend starting a tradition of getting Grace an ornament every year for Christmas. We have done it for our kids and they are young adults and teens now and they look forward to opening their ornament every year. Plus they get to take their ornaments with them when they start out on their own as young adults. And it’s so fun picking out ornaments for them every year! Also, those birds are adorbs. I’m going to have to see if they have them at my local target! ❤️
My mum has done this sporadically and I love it, the majority of my few ornaments are from that. Though I'd suggest getting ones that aren't baubles that break easily! Lost a couple from that and it's sad 😞
As a Canadian I’ll never get why people wait so long to hang Christmas decorations! I get that you guys have thanksgiving but the rest of the world is decorating in November 😂 you also don’t get as long to enjoy!!
i live vicariously through sierra so whenever she goes shopping and sees something cute i'm like "ooh i hope she gets it!!" and then when she ends up getting it i get so weirdly happy 😂
It's so crazy how quickly babies progress. You forget that when your own kids get past the toddler stage. Watching little Miss Grace become more active and smiley is just lovely. It only seems like yesterday she was a newborn 🥰
We made salt dough ornaments for our sons first ornament! Its just flour, salt and water and then you roll it out and press their handprint or footprint into it! Poke a hole with a straw to hang it and then bake on a low temp for a few hours to make it hard! I bought little fondant letter stamps too to do his name and the year but you could always just paint that or write with marker! They are a great keepsake and gift too! I made one for his grandparents too ☺️🤍 2 cups flour 1/2 cup salt 3/4 cup water Air day for a day then bake at 200 for 2-3 hours!
Watching your videos with a daughter a month older than grace makes me feel like I have a mom friend who gets it 😂 she loves watching your videos with me it cracks me up
I have really enjoyed seeing you navigate your first months as a new mom! It takes me back to my first days ( my “baby” is now about your age!). You and Stephen are rocking it!!
I love the little birds! Clef is key in French and the first thing on a partition is a key (at least in French), so you could do music related nouns, like music, for Grace maybe or song because lyrics + clef made something, aka Grace!
I struggle extremely bad with my bipolar disorder and watching you gives me a lot of hope that I can be consistently productive. Thank you for being you ❤️
Sierra you are such a powerful mom and role model to so many people! you are a role model in my own life even though all I see of you is through the screen. thank you for being a light in so many people's lives and Grace is lucky to have such an amazing mom!
You were talking about getting new ornaments so I thought it would share something I started with my son. I got him a special ornaments for his first Christmas and will be getting him one every Christmas till he's ready to move out. That is when I will give him all of his ornaments and he will be able to decorate his own tree and each ornament will be special.
Growing up, even now and I’m 21 every year I have gotten to pick out an ornament for our tree, that would be so cute to do with grace as she gets older!
The ornament tradition is so cute 🥰 my mum got me an ornament every year and added a little label on the string with the year on it. It’s so precious to at 24 have ornaments dating back to the 90s that were picked out by a loved one, definitely something I want to pass down to my future children
I have been watching you for YEARS, watching you grow, get married, build your life with Stephen, through your prenancy, and now watching you be a mom. It's so beautiful watching you turn into a mother and to see how kind and nurturing you are to Grace. I can't help but see how much you look like your mom when you show you holding Grace, it's absolutely adorable. I am so happy for you and your beautiful little family.
I had such a fun collection of snow globes when I was younger! I come from an interfaith family (with neither of my parents being Christian) and snow globes so joyously capture the spirit of winter and the holiday season without being about Christmas (although the Christmas ones are great as well!) They were always my family's favorite and we owned several musical ones. I'm glad Grace enjoys them as well.
ma'am im so happy you also love the birds. i have a weird obsession with them. and i even collect them all year round. i would say i have a solid 40 birds now. wait till you see the other holiday ones. so cute!
Stuffing yumm.. I make my own with a few pieces of bread 1x grated green apple 🍏 1x chopped in a blender half bag of apricots 1x half bag of macadamia’s chopped in the blender.. leaving semi chunks of the nuts 2 or 3 tablespoons of honey or to your taste Mix all to together.. then put baking paper it in a tin loaf.. put foil.. & back for around 20-30 mins.. I find if I stuff it with the stuffing takes all the juice from the chicken or turkey.. it’s just as good as it in a chicken or turkey
I love the Christmas birds from target! I have been buying them for several years now to decorate my home with! They have a little tag on their foot with the year so it’s nice to look back at each of them every year now! I bought the 2021 birds a couple of days ago, so cute! Enjoy and love your vlogs
I adore the target christmas birds. I've been collecting a few every year which has equalled to... an amount of birds but they're so fun. They also have them in ornamant size and we have them decorating our umbrella plant and lavender tree this year!
Just like you this is my baby first Christmas, she is going to be 9 months 5 days before Christmas I already have her first Christmas ornaments, first Christmas outfit, and her own first little Christmas tree 🎄. Wish you, your family, and your baby the warmest Holiday Season, 😊
I love Targets birds. I have quite a big collection of them for different holidays and cant stop buying new ones!! Soooo cute! I put them in my Christmas tree every year
Guuurl I will spread some Puertorrican 🇵🇷✨🎄christmas spirit for you all! . Which is ON 🎄🎄🎄from November 1st till the second week of January. We take our Navidad really serious so in almost every house we be eating christmas food and the trees and lights are UP the very first day of November. The best christmas of all time. Oh and we get Santa🎅🏼 and the Three Wise Kings 🤴🏽🤴🏽🤴🏽(Jan6) . Happy Holidays for everyone ✨
A great video. You are such a fabulous couple and your Baby Grace is absolutely beautiful; such a little Dolly. Thanks for always putting a smile on our faces.
When i lived with my roommates they had a three pack of they mini ones which was perfect because there were three of us! And we each picked one to represent us! After we moved out i got to keep them, and last year i got one of those little trees and i set up them on our book shelf and it was like a memory to when we all lived together! (I want to clarify we didn’t stop living together for anything bad but we all just moved to a different stage of our lives, all still friends and everything)
I was thinking it could also be cute to give the two extra birds to Kenzie for her to littles and then just two big ones to go with, and it would be like cute matching family thing.
Texas gal here. Last year I was pushing Christmas ask soon as could happen. The election, etc I just wanted to be festive while stuck at home. This year I am working probably my favorite job ever, pandemonium lead me here. I don’t even want to decorate my home, cuz I’m all Christmas’d out already. Lol. Let me get out my stuff and then I might consider buying stuff. Lol. I can’t even remember what all I bought last year!
We took down our outdoor Halloween decor the weekend after and immediately put up all the Xmas stuff. The weather was gorgeous and in Chicago, you learn to not wait!
Sierra - have you ever thought about customizing an ornament a year to continue your tradition of commemorating the year with an ornament? My family and I always customize one to symbolize something important - a marriage, a birth, etc etc. Love your vlogs, they make my day!
We found the kids ornaments for their first year but I also got them each a snowglobe from Target with the year on it. It's their favorite things now that they are older.
My fiance and I have those same birds for every season! We call all of ours Hattie since that was the name of the first one we got. I definitely agree with other commenters that the little bird should have a musical name like Melody or Aria :)
I was really pleasantly surprised with the Christmas selection at Walmart this year- like very shocked. They had a lot of awesome modern decor items. Better than Target surprisingly. I also lucked out at JoAnne’s- they also had half off which is a total win. They had some beautiful ornaments- might find more “baby’s first Christmas” options.
It’s been a rough day today with my son Jacob. Thank goodness my daughter Ella is trying to be a good big sister and mommy’s little helper today. I look forward to watching your vlogs.
I collect the Target birds and also Walmart has some similar ones. I have one or two for each season. I also have the three tiny birds. They are so cute.
