Gil Ash of OSP Shooting School explains how to get a better focus on targets. By sliding your eyes to the front edge of the target the target will appear larger as well as slow down. Watch Gil's tip and start breaking more clays! (NSSF Video)

Gil been watching you and Vicky for so long. Amazes me that I am still picking up valuable pieces of information from y’all. I can’t thank you both enough. Wishing some day I can meet you both.

I really enjoy Gil Ash's videos, and I've watched most of them multiple times. I still miss every clay target or dove I shoot at, but I'm trying to channel Mr. Ash and all the information he teaches with every shot. ~~ It's interesting how much Mr. Ash talks like a preacher with his mannerisms and pauses.

I believe this - and furthermore - I have come to the point in my years of shooting where I need to close my left eye right before the target gets to my "kill point". Doing this has led to the "focus on the front edge at the last instant" and indeed, it does work!

Got rusty, wtached a few of your videos. This really helped me with the leads. My eyes slid on the bird and the barrel followed beautifully. Thx Gil

Gil you and your wife are awesome instructors. This training has been phenomenal for me on Sporting Clays and 5 Stand shooting report pairs. I am bustin clays at a good rate. I'm starting to video myself to break bad habits. If possible, Running into True pair issues, I would like to see more training videos with fast mounts and instinctive shooting. God bless and Thank you.

Great stuff. Anything that helps us focus on the bird itself is helpful. I like the visual aid. Much obliged.

What Gil says is quite reasonable and correct...if his scores at the nationals weren't that great ...and I do not know if that is the case ...that does not mean that what he says is not correct or worth a try...he does have a lot of subscribers.

A Pox on the nay sayers. Many pros can’t teach and many good teachers are not high scoring pros. I agree that Gil gives you a lot to think about, but if you have an issue and use his technique , you will break more targets. Work on 1 technique at a time until you just do it without having to think.

I pass shoot so this confuses me.

He teaches not to pass shoot, but to keep the barrel in front of the barrel at all times.

sorry, to keep the barrel in front of the bird/clay at all times

You need to have more than one technique in your bag. Otherwise, you are one trick pony and won't become a really outstanding shooter.

Seems like some of the National known pros who comment need a program from NSSF also lol

I agree with John Kruger. Gil learns you stupid techniques that will only make it harder for you. You are too busy thinking about those. Just shoot, don't think.
