Tarja seems happier post Nightwish, even when singing Nightwish songs to please fans I suppose, who prefers her performance style and voice singing those songs. Her solo work are certainly going into directions leaving some fans happy or dismayed. She's never boring. That much is certain.

Tarja is the master of sarcasm. She knows the song is about her. The debauched way she sings it and the looks and faces she makes coupled with that siren laugh tells me she is sending a message. So hilarious. Most people here missed it completely.
Is it? The song’s lyrics sound like it’s having sex or wanting to have sex when ur drunk with ur friend’s woman who used to have a prior sexual relationship or tension with. At least that’s what I think

@@whatthehellisthis8661 So, she is dissing him by singing something he wrote. And in a style much closer to how it is performed by Nightwish nowadays than when she was the lead singer... Yeah, it screams more like she is trying to hold onto something she lost. Which was her own doing as well, not just others'. Meanwhile, we know exactly how Tuomas felt about the situation and making fun of that would be quite shameful of her. Yeah, I don't think so.
Tarja says she does one or two nightwish songs during each tour to make fans happy! But im finding out alot of nightwish fans ar going over and becoming her fans of her solo work
I love her! And I like the way she is having fun with the fans and knowing how good she is, she is using it to please them. Nightwish made a huge mistake losing her.
I think this is the first time I've heard Alex sing a part. Perhaps he has done so before, I just haven't seen it. Anyway, I've impressed. He does pretty good I think and captures the spirit of the song quite well. Kevin often sings in other songs and does quite well also. Kevin does particularly well in the summer breeze performance of the siren featured on luna park ride. Tarja's got some pretty good talent working with her, maybe even better than she had in her former band.
Stefan L Stefan i completely agree again. Love listening to Alex here even more than Marco, Alex does really good in this more raspy way of singing and Kevin in the melodic ones. She surrounded herself of truly gifted and nice musicians for sure.
+Kenneth Monfil After. With you see, Nightwish put Floor to sing music the fans think it's only Tarja can sing. I think she will fallow another path. chose classic music of the band and not sing ballads for not competion with Floor. They are Friends and have massiva base fans. Every one just win to see her falow another path and sing classic music. I hope to see Tarja sing more musics of Ocean Born and Wishmaster than another albuns. Next month she come to my city. ^U^

I understand that is really nice to have big imagination or dreaming. But I have really bad new for you. This is reality unfortunately. Tarja WAS a good singer. Her voice now has nothing to do with what we heard at 1996 - 2005 in Nightwish. Accept that this is a fact not a personal opinion. Voice has nothing to do with career or fans. 😉
She can sing whatever she likes at her shows, the copyright thing comes when said song is included in an official release of sorts, for example, a live album, in that case they'll just sort it out before release

I always said that the version of the end of an era Tarja and Marko in this song was the highligh of the band's history.. Then came Floor and everything changed.. She is on the top of Everything right now with Nightwish of course ...

A decade+ later she's still singing the songs Tuomas wrote her :D I could understand her covering Nightwis songs if she had some input in them, but she doesn't!?!? Most of the songs she sings on her tour are from her solo albums but Nightwish was a huge part of her career aswell, no reason she wouldn't sing some of the songs so if you don't follow her solo career then don't say shit. She wasn't very respected by the band about some of her choices, even personal choices and said this in a angry moment of a fight, I'm sure she didn't say this for nothing, Tuomas is no saint. Some men can't stand strong women.

Do you know the context of that argument? I see this repeated so many times... oh Tarja said she did not need them anymore and still plays their songs.....call CNN! If you read their biography or her side of the story. She said that on a airplane ride from Toronto, or thereabouts, Tuomas got up from his seat and went to Tarja's seat and lashed out at her, he yelled at her and said quite a lot. That made her so mad that she lashed at him... like you and I probably have done to our loved ones or friends when in a heated argument, we say things we do not mean or think through to hurt them because they have hurted us. We, the media, Finland, the world, aliens... we all know what she said to him in a fit of rage but we never ever found out what HE told her, what were those words that made her blurt out that??? That is what I find hypocritical about every single person that brings that up and does not even know what happened. And you know what? She does not need them, never did, she is the most popular female metal artist in their niche, she sells out her concerts, plays all over the world, headlines festivals, is happy and can do whatever pleases her without master Holopainen howling at her. She has all the right to sing Nightwish songs because the music is left untouched and she helped shape these songs into what they are, had any other singer be the one doing them, they would never ever be this powerful. A voice is as pivotal in shaping a song as its composition or lyrics. Long live Tarja and a very long life to her independence.
