Tarp is on so many albums is hard to believe....from Mac Davis's baby don't get hooked on me to Jerry Lee's return to Memphis and his anthologies/greatest hits to Don Nix's Georgia State trooper......a man that has seen and been apart of so much music history. My hats off to you Steve, I love your stories and I'm grateful for your fabulous memory. Peace from Texas

JJ Cale did write "Call me the Breeze" and "Got the Same Old Blues". Both covered by Skynyrd. Cale also wrote "After Midnight" and "Cocaine" made famous by Eric Clapton. JJ Cale was a Tulsa man along with Leon Russell. Just down the road from me. There's a video on YT of them 2 playing "Going Down" that is outstanding.

Talk about legends! Tarp, J.J. Hendrix, Richards, the Swampers, the list goes on! You can feel the love. Well, as noisy as those bugs are they must feel it too or maybe they are auditioning? What are those insects anyway, Cicadas? Lol. Thanks Steve!

I’ve been watching your chats for about a year now! It’s been off an on that I noticed one of your chats but I always check it out cause I grew up on Skynyrd music. I’m from The Daytona Beach area so is Florida boys mean everything to me! I truly miss Ronnie, Allen,Leon, Billy, Steve,Bob,Cassie,Ed,and if I missed anyone please forgive me! I had a double aneurism and my brain no longer has the snap it used to. But I love hearing stories of my favorite band I think you are an ace in a society that loves crappy music and digital crap to take the place of talented musicians! Thank god for lynyrd skynyrd and you as well! God bless!!!!

When I was a kid in the early 60s my dad was really into folk music which was big then and we always watched Hootnanny and then Shindig when it came on. I never knew Leon Russell was involved with Shindig
