love these tales, you seem to always brighten my day brother Steve. Thanks for doing these. Cool thing is that there was a place for you rockers to have a regular gig to scrape few bucks together, or y'all would have flipping starved to death. All the best brother Steve!
You're The Best Steve. 'Course I'm 8yrs Or So Younger Than You, Ronnie, Allen, & Gary. But Growing Up Next Door To The Van Zant Boys On Mull St. Was The Best Childhood Ever. Allen & Gary Tried To Teach Me To Play Guitar. But Hell!!! I Liked Hittin' Folks With Em More. So I Became A Pro Wrestler. Good Memories From The Old 'Hood. By The Way... Clark's Steak Burgers Were Awesome. WinnDixie Always Carried Em.
Thanks for the stories Steve, keeping the memories alive. This past Friday night I went to see the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band here in Phoenix Arizona on their farewell tour and as it should be it waz an outdoor show and afterwards myself and some other fans hung out in the parking lot sharing our first Skynyrd shows and other memories my hardest day of the year is October 20th two days before my birthday 1977.
I love it my friend! What a great Christmas present! I’ll talk to you soon, I promise. Work has been crazy but love the stories about Allen and all the guys! Hope to talk soon and hear more stories my friend! -Will
Steve, do you got any videos of real early Skynyrd as the 1% or just real early stuff of them playing gigs or whatever. How about some early Allman Bros if you got it, or real early stuff also.
