You're correct this was our victory run at the Orlando regional and the band on the front sideline was Broken Arrow who was our biggest competition! So this show was actually the encore for the Orlando Regional Championships, hence why they were wearing their medallions. On the front of the field were the members of the Broken Arrow High School marching band from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; they placed 2nd to Tarpon Springs and were named the class AAAA champions. Broken Arrow and Tarpon Springs are friends since they are renowned music programs, and Broken Arrow was invited to have the front row to view Tarpon Springs' encore show. It is my prediction that the two of them will be each other's top competitors compared to anyone else this year.
Marching bands just do not look "complete" without the hats. And there are a lot of folks saying it. It's becoming too much about Little Johnny Facial Expressions during his solo.
