tool assisted speedrun, it's cheating to slow game down/ rewind and repeat sections when failed or to get the most optimised lines

@@bujkulka only very few, most trusted players have access to those, it's a special tool, was hard to program and make work. Noone is gonna release it to public. The goal of these runs is to find new strategies and develop community's game knowledge and skill. But in wrong hands it will completely ruin all leaderboards which would be very deadly for the game. Notice that you will not find any TAS runs on the game leaderboards

Oh and of course TAS runs encourage people to try and beat new records

Are you implying these are cheated records? Because they aren't. This is TAS, not sure if you understood or not lol

@@MrPinkDino 1) TAS doesn't show up on leaderboards, unlike legit cheaters with like 100,000m on stuff 2) It's played by a human with save states, not a robot. They use this tool to show the limits of an adventure record, encouraging new records to be broken, further progressing in adventure. TAS is not cheating, TAS records also have [TAS] in the name making it obvious

​@@gsas3012 I do know what TAS is. TAS is a cheating tool because it helps you get better distances, like aimbot in fps games helps you get better results. TAS doesn't show up on leaderboards thanks to kindness and good will of their users. There is nothing that limits TAS users from putting their runs on leaderboard like they were legit. That is why only few people have access to TAS. Like you said it can be helpful, same as having info about opponents moves in strategy games where by game design they shouldn't, although is cheating, can help you learn to read those moves without help of the cheating tool. TAS is a cheating tool, in this example used fairly (not to cheat) and to advantage of the game and community. In trackmania this is also the case but there were many instances of people trying to cheat with TAS (I don't know of any that wasn't cought)
