A TAS is created using various emulator built-in tools such as slowdown, savestates, and memory watch to simulate a perfectly executed playthrough of a game. The TASer, Soig, in this case, still has to decide how to actually play. AI technology is nowhere near the level that it would have to be to route a game as complicated as this. Why does everyone think that theses are bots?

He's not hacking. This is a TAS, or Tool Assisted Speedrun. Basically he's using save states to record his inputs. That way, he is able to swim fast enough to go against the current.

Why do so many people have trouble grinding out a bunch of lives? It’s not even that hard. Back when I was a kid on my old save file I managed to grind out a bunch of lives by going back to World 1-1 to get the hidden lives in by the rolling hill and I also went into a bunch of 1up toad houses and timed the cannon shot perfectly! So yeah!
Does he have some kind hacks enable or is his timing just that great, I don’t see how some of those times where he should be hit, but he hits the enemy instead
