This is my first attempt at a Tool-Assisted Speedrun. this is also far from Optimized
Star Voyager is a game for the NES, published by Acclaim Entertainment, whee you pilot a starship across your sector of the galaxy, defending your home base from an approaching invasion.
exploring the sector you can find a number of upgrades on surrounding planets, all of which are not only RNG based on which planets they're found on, but also RNG where the planets are each time you boot up the game
this game is notoriously difficult, many review channels noting that not even game genie codes will help much in beating this game

Really cool run! I remember being about 8 years old and loving this game. Loved the look and the sound but never knew what I was supposed to be doing.

How did you know where to warp? The planet placement is random isn't it? Great job!

(sorry for the late response) it's tool assisted so in this case I would look at the map and start visiting planets until i found hyperdrive, and then load savestate and target those coordinates I found out though that planet placement is determined by which frame you start the game on from boot. So I'd like to try it again finding an optimal planet placement

Acclaim needs to get beat up here for this game. I mean, this is 1987 on the NES. Games like Castlevania, Metroid and the Legend of Zelda came out the same year and yet this game looks like it was a port from the Atari 2600. I mean come on Acclaim, it's 1987, what's with the sounds? Did you pull those from an ear test?

The sound are ok for me, but I didnt know about warps until I readed a guide. I thoutgh acelerate too much would waste the energy, I though it was the vertical right bar. I wanderer in the space for some time, seeing nothing. The map wasnt useful to me. Also, enemies move with too much frameskip it seems, like lagged, maybe its the video but...
