This is the kind of thing I would have adored 5-10 years ago. I mean that in the most positive light. I don't have the time or mental stamina to absorb it all in one sitting nowadays, but mad props to you three for putting together the run and commentating all the way through.

As far as I know, this TAS was done purely by Ekke325, so I think he should be the only one credited for it. Gym and beest helping out by commentating and promoting is a noble thing, though.

damn you just made me realize me enjoying this type of stuff is temporary lol, now I appreciate this TAS even more, since although I don’t have a whole lot of time i’m still gonna be watching this for like a week when going to bed and falling asleep after 20-30 minutes, slowly but surely getting through the entire thing haha

2:58:25 This is the best commentary I've seen on a TAS video. I have been binge watching this the past couple days and Ive enjoyed every moment of it! The constant jokes and comments about amazing RNG and frame perfect inputs is very funny, yet shows how much work had to be done for this. This is going to my show for movie night for now on!

@@savanchandul7451 There's at least one per year for the past 8 years. On Feb 21, 2015, Kaztalek uploaded Majora's Mask in 2 Pauses. Exactly a year later, by total coincidence, ZFG uploaded OoT 100% in 3 Pauses by Cafde & Venick (commentated by himself, the creators, and Kaztalek). Since then, Feb 21 LOTADs / TASes have been a Zelda tradition.

Playing this daily in my night routine as I'm falling asleep so I can absorb all the information in my sleep and produce the most flawless tp run in the world (I've never sped run this game, only played it twice as a kid, I'm the worst gamer known to man). Will update when I get world record!

This is amazing. Is a 100% TAS in the works? It would be amazing to see poes, heart pieces, bugs, cave of ordeals, STAR, Hidden Village minigames, boat archery, and the escort mission all in one run. That would be an overwhelming amount of work, so I can understand if no one is doing it.

You move faster going down even slight slopes and vice versa, so it might seem less than a straight line at some points which just means they’re optimizing running on the slopes, so a lot of effort goes into the movement. Also it’s just cool anyway.

Does moving the camera actually affect RNG or is it more about the timing of when the keese pop in? Or, god forbid, how they land in the stack

Moving the camera allows us to easily affect RNG because there are almost always a lot of tiny particle effects calling the RNG function every single frame. By moving the camera we can put more or less of these particles (or anything else that calls the RNG function) on screen to change how many times the RNG function is called before the call we're trying to manipulate to a favorable value.

So do they not get EMS? I'd figure that would be faster in the end because you have shape-shifting unlocked early (and your sword does more damage early, meaning defeating bosses is faster). Edit: lol yeah they do get EMS

I have always wondered where the Water is supposed to be draining too after the water temple boss is defeated. You are supposedly at the deepest point of the lakebed temple, is there some sort of cavern outside the temple it is supposed to be draining into? Is it implying there are supposed to be other chambers that the water is flowing into that are deeper?

(A little delayed of a comment but) it is theoretically possible that there are deeper chambers to be drained into. But! The water drains below the crack! The water throughout the room keeps going past the point where there would even be able to reach the hole in the wall. THAT’S the one that bothers me.
