If you ever wonder how amazing Bob Mortimer is, he has 5 comedians literally speechless and breathless from laughing. I love all of them, but the man is in a league of his own.
After seeing Bob on WILTY, I am not surpised by the the fact that videoing himself having a poo was the first idea that he came up with and was his backup plan.
I probably watch this a couple of times a month, doesn't get old. The dispute with the Woolwich ferry slays me every time, I know the story but Bob's delivery is just classic.
He was in a film with Christian Slater and they both put 350 quid in for the plans of the toilet - Bob realates the story on the travel series with Richard Ayoyte (spelt wrong!) - hilarious.
Bob, Aisling and Sally were ROBBED with their song about Rosalind. It goes on in my head most days whereas I cannot remember for the life of me how Nish and Mark’s song went.
I'd agree, the other song was dull and forgettable. We seem to be in a minority though, I've seen lots of people saying they really liked Wumar's song.
I really liked Wumar's song, for one, and I do remember it. For all that this one is funny, it is kind of cobbled together; the amazing thing about Wumar's song to me is that somehow, in the pressing circumstances, they managed to create a song that sounds not like a parody song but like a real song, but still with clever and funny lyrics (like that bit with attention span). It's a bit in the vein of what Jay Foreman does and I really enjoy that. That, in my opinion, absolutely earned them the points they got. Ultimately, though, I guess music is always a matter of taste and just because I enjoy one song obviously doesn't mean others will. And of course the rating of the contestants in this show is frankly never the main point of the show. And even Greg clearly had trouble deciding between the teams and it was 3:2, so I'd say "robbed" is far too strong a word in the circumstances. Someone had to win and it wasn't them kind of situation; there were others where I felt far more that a good effort went underappreciated (like Lolly painting with the cake, for example: I thought that was a clever idea within the parameters of the task).
You'd think people would crawl over broken glass to kiss my hand that shook his after a "House of Fools" filming but that has proven not to be the case.
I hate toilet humor, except when Bob is talking about his nasty hole, it isn't gross, it's simply funny, I don't understand it, I just enjoy. Love Bob! ❤️
If you watch Bob closely in the second chorus of the Rosalind song - 9:17 - you'll notice a continuity problem. My theory is that the camera operators corpsed at "Rosalind's a f---ing nightmare", and they had to patch the next few seconds with footage from the first chorus!
Had to listen to "Quite Good, Considering" in the unedited version after this because it's not quite the same without the single dirty swear that ruins and desiccates poor young minds.
6:34 Two brothers are watching their mum on TV and all she can say about them is _”they’re a little bit inept at things.”_ Well, I’m sure that your non-judgemental support gave them everything they needed to develop into capable boys.
