In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

I was very disappointed in the grape task in the UK version because of that. What made this task so great was its simplicity: here's the grape outside the window, eat it. And since you've learned to look outside the window, let's build on that knowledge: here's the padlock code on balloons outside the window. Then the cheeky $9.90 in the piggybank when they needed $10. Sheer brilliance by Paul Williams and the TMNZ team. Whereas the UK version the caravan was cluttered, there's so much to seemingly do but there's also all kinds of swanky workarounds.

I loved Eat The Grape, but nothing can beat out Chris Ramsey's cement mixer task.

@@tsotate What makes "Eat The Grape" so unique is it features the series defining moment for two contestants: Laura Daniel and David Correos, in drastically different ways. It has the highest of highs and the absolute lowest of lows.

I always felt like the reason Jeremy doesn't shit on Paul all the time is because unlike Alex, Paul is not annoying.
@galaxa13
@galaxa13 5 месяцев назад
Depends on what you find annoying. I like both assistants, but I honestly do find Paul more unnerving. I think it's less to do with the assistants and more to do with the Taskmasters themselves. Greg is a far more combative person than Jeremy.

@@galaxa13 Alex is created this character and also Greg in almost every season have some history with some contestant. So the studio has a different dynamic, because there are more improvised unscripted interactions.

They went for that a little bit in series 1, and I think with Jeremy it comes across more like bullying. With Greg, I mean, it IS bullying, but it's funny because it's gotten so over the top that there's no way to take it seriously. It also might not really be a character Jeremy's good at expressing humorously, while it's pretty clear Greg's got a knack for it.

If you think about it, it's quite impressive that they were so accurate in finding the shooken one

every time they opened a bottle towards the taskmaster he backed away, often with more than half the time remaining. i cant believe nobody used that cue to switch bottles. i guess the drive to spray the taskmaster with lemonade was too strong.

Once you pick it, you gotta stick with it.
@danielbehrendt9683
@danielbehrendt9683 5 месяцев назад
@@lhfirex It doesnt say that. nothing in the rules says you cant grab a bottle and point it at the taskmaster to see his reaction without opening it. all the information is on the task. "The Taskmaster will vigorously shake one bottle of lemonade. You must then open one of the two bottles within five seconds. If you open the bottle that has been shook, you will be eliminated. You may ask the Taskmaster one question before each vigorous shake. You will get one point for every bottle you survive."

Yeah you'd lose your Timbs, but he'd also buy you a ticket to Christchurch even though he's so broke he has to transfer money between accounts. I think the adventure would be a net positive. ❤
