In this short video you'll get a little bit of an insight into Tasmania's spectacular Western Lakes fishery. This is a truly remote part of the state; no tracks, no signs, and no facilities. It can be a challenging and sometimes dangerous place to wet a line, but sometimes you're rewarded with amazing sight fishing conditions like I did on these two days of fishing. Find memories of many a foray into the Western Lakes.....some life long memories and always an adventure. Fish were a bonus. Great video mate

It's an amazing area. Every lake up there has it's own unique character, except for the fact that all the fish are stunning!

Hi, I've only recently taken up fly fishing after semi-retirement. I've fished for trout for many years on and off and always used either worms, mud eye or lures. I live over in St Helens and have been practicing on trout in some of the smaller streams around the area. Have had a lot of fun learning, etc. I've really enjoyed your vlogs and have learnt quite a bit watching them, so thank you. Hopefully next season I'll venture out and visit some of the lakes on the Central Highlands and west coast. Keep up the good work.
