Buckin' in the bunker. Hogan too! I don't usually comment until the end of the video, but in this case, I know this is going to be another awesome one! Have a fantastic Monday, everyone! Remember, kindness is free, so don't hesitate to hand it out to everyone you see! 💚🥁👊🏼
hi buckin, i want to thank you again for the present you gave me! i will never forget the day you made me make videos. you remember how you screamed ?: "you have a cellphone ?! then you can make videos !! it's not difficult!" thank you for that ... and I thank the community for your feedback, which I never expected in this form. For me this place is a big family where you feel at home and that's great! Thank you for letting me be a part of it! thank you all for being here! stay helpful and kind and be what you think. never let your #spiritfire go out, whether in the heart or in the fire place, i love you all!
Buckin I’m trying to order one of your axes right now but I don’t know witch one is the one I’m looking for can you please help me out. I’m looking for a big head for splitting just like this one in the video! Thank you buckin
My old man used to buy handles by the gross, 32 inches long and he cut them down to 29 inches. For use in the southern forests of Tasmania. Which for those that don't know is a island state under the Australian mainland. Even down here good axes are now hard to find as most have been collected up by "collectors" to hang on the bloody wall. Cheers and greetings from Tassy!
Ipe ( pronounced Ee Pay) i believe is the hardest wood on earth - so dense it sinks in water. Also known as Brazilian walnut... its dust can be toxic so be careful. Beauty of an axe!
THAT NEW AX IS GLOURIOUS, NICE TO SEE HOGAN'S NEW AX. WELCOME EVERYONE TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH, PULL UP A STUMP AND FILL YOUR BUCKIN CUP WITH SOME HOT COFFEE
What about a bamboo telerscopic walking sticks. For us ex shipyard bricklayers. Consrution workers srugling with worn out cartlages joints? Bamboo sticks u can put in your pocket .before you fell a tree. With your fellaxe?
@@michaelwhiteoldtimer7648 Absolutely! I'm on the lookout for his live feeds! Though if I miss 'em, I try to watch his vids any time I can! Happy New Year!!
See...This axe will probably last forever. Buckin', Vermont loves you. You're a mediator of love and problem solving between different peoples shoes...
Hey Buckin, Hogan & the True Blues and the entire Buckin Army. I sincerely hope you all had an AWESOME Christmas. That Hard wood wedge is pronounced ee-pay and it is native to Brazil. I need to clarify something. It is HARDER than a rock, and it will kill a saw blade in no time flat. . . . Lol. Welcome to all the new subscribers. Love and blessings to you all.
I'm jealous. I'm 61years young and have never even seen one of those heavy, wide axes you guy's have. 3.5 Michigan style axe is all I ever run across to split with. Love your videos!!! Happy New year from Shelbyville Indiana.

@@woofy548 Although the Osage Orange is apparently widely distributed in the US, I've not seen one. Only source for Osage handles isThrane Axe and Saw, and it's not cheap!
Buckin.. wow brother. Just wow. Your boys new hickory handle came out beautifully. The ol bullet is shaping up to be one of the best axes in history! That thing deserves a spot in a museum! Someday I'll have one for sure! Keep up the EXCELLANT WORK!!
Hi Buckin that axe is lookin sharp i am looking forward to the video when you get your new STIHL MS 500i chainsaw that's a heck of a Christmas present i have yet to see that particular saw in my area Nick Pixel is a great man to give you that gift those saws aren't cheap the best thing about fuel injected saws is there is no carburetor to fail and have a lot of torque for their size. Great video and looking for that video i can only imagine the joy you have to be getting that saw.
@@ishure8849 Plus with it having no carburetor when you squeeze the throttle all you are doing is opening the flap of a mini intake manifold where the carburetor would be mounted giving the saw incredible throttle response and there is no choke unlike other STIHL chainsaws where the one lever on the side requires you to squeeze the throttle to engage the choke.
Sitting here on my lunch break at work watching this!! That grain pattern is something else on that hickory Tazi!! Thank you for all you do Buckin’ and Hogan!!! Cheers from Washington State!!!
I would like to know where you get the bamboo Buckin????? Always just 🤣🤣😂😂 @ your video's as u r real!!!! Keep them coming it's great to get to know u through your video's Grant from South Africa!!!!
What do you expect fro using grass to make a handle, extreme flexibility of laminated bamboo, and the strength of multiple layers. Now a question, can you burn it to give off the highlights?
Interesting video. Action packed. Just a thought here… : Instead of sanding the snot out of the steel just immerse the axe head in white vinegar overnight. The rust will float off. Boom, you’re done with it. Consider this next thought, use “Light Oak” stain combined with linseed oil. Add a little Japan Dryer to the mixture it helps the linseed oil. The tannins in the hickory and the tint of the stain create a more natural and deeper patina.
I just watched this again. The excitement/anticipation of the wood billet two years ago was intoxicating. How did you end up going the LH route for the wood bullet? I find it puzzling how it went from a splitting axe to a show piece that will probably never split a junk of wood. Don’t rip me up on that, I’m just expressing my feelings. I was thinking it would be something totally different from what it evolved into. I’d bet a lot of your subscribers would like to own one of the original wood bullets, I know I would. Who feels the same? Be kind, work hard and be honest. ❤
How fitting your son is rising up to be a great man and it is so very great to watch here gentlemen ! Wishing everyone here a very safe and Happy New Year ! It seems like a dynamic duo that bullet and bamboo together Buckin !
Such inspiration. I'm having so much fun again, working with my hands building and collecting axes, getting my firewood supply up again. Have an awesome New Year!
