He seems to be very sincere and to have a very compassionate heart; and i think his comments about relationships expain why many seriously spiritual people shun intimacy, preferring to look inward w/o the distractions. As an aside about alcohol, there was a famous Buddhist teacher who taught at a Colorado Institute with Ginsberg and Corso and others, and he was notorious for his heavy drinking.
Thanks Osel, I think I'll stick with my meds. Great talk, it's always the hero telling the story of the Dharma, but the little people need to learn how to live it. So real! ❤
It is refreshing and humbling to hear Osel Rinpoche's words regarding reincarnation and leading by example. It is also quite interesting(for the lack of a better word) that Osel Rinpoche, being a buddhist practicioner and a reincarnation, is not attached to the 'label' of being a reincarnation, and seems to denounce the worldly perspectives that are thrown at someone who is a reincarnation - so many projections + expectations. Ultimately I feel a reincarnation is not something to be understood and realized but to be accepted as a divine happening(in the eyes of the people that witness such reincarnation). I believe we should really try to understand Osel Rinpoche's experiences as he explains it because there lies a depth of wisdom about divine timing and vulnerability, and THAT is the lesson from the Universe. Such honesty and braveness from Osel Rinpoche to be so profoundly vulnerable...Thank you for your words Osel Rinpoche. I personally have challenges with vulnerability and it gives me personal hope that someday I can be as vulnerable as Rinpoche, and to find my true path and unity through the practice of vulnerability. I discovered Lama Yeshe (Kyap Su Che) in the recent years and he has had such a profound impact on my life. I feel so blessed and grateful to have crossed paths with such a being and receive his timeless teachings. May all beings gain true happiness and true unity. Om Mane Padme Hum.

Osel! I wish you the best in a long creative, intense and loving life.
