I have a condition where my food/drink doesn't empty into my stomach fast enough and water gives me heartburn, but sodas don't. No idea what that's all about.
I can definitely taste the difference between tap water and bottled, but I also feel like that would depend on how the tap water tastes in whatever city you're in. Tap water seems to taste different everywhere...
Yeah the water where I live now tastes like chlorine, I never drink it. But when I lived in Chicago I always drank tap because they actually have really good water. Tastes like bottled
my maternal grandmother's tap water is way better tasting cuz it has more minerals, our tap has some of them filtered out so it tastes weird but it's fine for coffee
100%. I prefer tap water over bottled, but I've been spoiled with tap water in the only places I've lived, Vancouver and Edinburgh. But the tap water in Montreal or London is pretty bad.
I regret not specifying tap water when I took my husband to a 2 star Michelin restaurant for his birthday. The very attentive waiter kept refilling our glasses and almost £30 of the 300 bill was water.
“It tastes like watered down water” “Raised in a fresh field with freelance cows” “It tastes likes I’m eating a skincare product” My cheeks hurt from laughing 😂😂😂
The twins repeating the meme about how British people say bottle of water is peak Welshness and I think Ashton knew ROI tasted like milk breath because she's a diabolical genius who knew that plain water wasn't enough of a challenge. Marcus's "if you want to play along" was adorable
It really is the whole team that make this content stand out. First minute in and I'm already enjoying it that little bit more because of the editing and subtitles, so relatable.
This!I thought the subtitles were auto-generated until I saw how some words were being spelled and the add-ons 😅 I LIVE for their editing and content!!
I’m definitely fortunate with where I live: in Scotland we have soft water and what comes out the tap is generally very good. I definitely notice a difference when visiting friends in England in hard water areas. The only time I’ve had unpleasant tap water in Scotland was in my student halls of residence which had ancient pipes that made the water slightly green and metallic but nothing boiling couldn’t fix for tea. I did buy a lot of bottled water back then or just fill bottles in the Student Union which was a newer building.
In South Africa our water is great (most parts anyway) and when I first went to the UK I was horrified that I had to pour kettle water through a tea strainer to get the “hardness” of the water out and there was this weird white stuff left behind 😅
1. Yes, this is exactly what we wanted when we said give us more Welsh Twins content: a new Friday video about the taste of different kinds of water, lmaooooo 2. In Modern Family, Cam and Mitch say that "gays doesn't high five" and I find it hilarious how you NEVER high five 3. I miss the random tiktok username that Marcus used to put to Robert's tiktok :( Love you, Welsh team!
This is the “Is it cake?” version of a water challenge. I feel confused about the ratings, but very entertained. 😂 Everyone should stay hydrated during the summer. 😎 ✨Thank you for sharing! ✨
This was a fab idea! Seeing as you both love Starbucks you should taste either different coffee shop coffees or different brand coffees from the supermarket. I’ve done it for fun and think you can really tell the good stuff
Smartwater is definitely one of the better ones, but for me, Skýra is hands-down the best bottled water I've ever had -- it's 7/11's version of "Icelandic" water. So clean and refreshing, no funky taste (I'm looking at you, Aquafina, you gross toilet water), just pure crisp water. Apparently it's nothing more than filtered tap water allegedly from Iceland, but even so, I'll take it over Poland Spring or Fiji any day.
I began to understand what a precious thing water is after I traveled as an adult to the U.S for the first time. I am born, raised and have lived my whole life here in Iceland and the water here is so good. Both the cold drinking water from the tab that comes from natural springs as well as the hot tap water that is not boild with chemicals in it like the water in publuc swimming pools, it is just natural hot water. I felt so dirty after a shower in Florida and I couldn't find a single brand of water that I found more than just barely drinkable.
Freelance cows. 😶 Um. Over here they are sometimes called free range. I guess the freelance cows are self-employed delivering milky goodness taste to mountain springs? I adore you lads!!!! ☺️❤️🥂
In one restaurant I went to, they had bottled tap water in glass bottles with flip-tops, and kept them chilled. It was actually really smart, and the water was free, too. And tasted fancy enough for me.
Does anyone feel uncomfortable when they hear the water pouring sound? I feel like Marcus’ trolling has finally extended to the audience. I love it. This water tasting video is so great. I’d love to see more taste testing videos/luxury or cheap guessing videos.
Genuinely, water has so many different tastes. My favorite water brand is pure life. It’s so light. I recently came back from America and comparing water from America vs Canada, it’s a huge difference. The tap water where I live is completely fine to drink and it’s actually pretty good. Bottled water tastes different but it depends where we live. Sometimes my tap water tastes better than bottled water. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ Water rant over lmao ily guys and I’m so excited to get an extra video every week!!!! But please don’t overwork yourselves ❤
Your timing has never been better, thank you. Here comes your Smart water sponsorship! How about testing chocolate? paint? (like emulsion paint) socks?
In my home town we have the verry best tap water, it is filtered by our dunes naturally and then magically (for me) appears from our taps 😁 I've been places where tapwater does have a metallic or sometimes even bleachy taste to it. In that case I get bottled.
Electrolytes usually refers to sodium, chloride and potassium. Very Occasionally it also includes magnesium and/or calcium. Usually it’s salts to balance your body’s needs when you are sweating a lot or otherwise dehydrated.
The fact that Evian is £1 makes me slightly jealous because it's at least $2-$3 here in the States. HOWEVER, I am glad you two did this because I am SICK of arguing that water HAS A TASTE! LOL
The tap v bottled question at restaurants seems to be a Europe thing than US. I’ve not had the question asked here, except for a couple of super fine dining places, but anywhere I’ve been outside the US it’s asked. And my hands down favorite is Roman tap water
My number one bottled water is Icelandic Glacial water. It's the watery-est of waters. I know it doesn't make sense but it's so watery and smooth, lol. It's just so easy to drink. It feels more hydrating, I kid you not. This sounds crazy as I'm typing it out😂 And using sparkling water for cold brew concentrate coffee is divine. Gives it a nitro feel. I will be coming back to the comments for water recommendations.
I love trying/tasting different and new waters all the time...but even though I've come across Many, MANY waters that I like and also many I don't like...my favorite and always will be my favorite that you should for sure, ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, try is "Aqua Panna" it's an Italian water from Tuscany, it's semi expensive (for being a Water) but it's definitely worth it! I actually find myself trying to Save (not drink/not drink as quickly) the damn thing Everytime I get it. Lol
Guys!! I wish you could all try Crazy Water. It’s natural mineral water from the a spring here in Texas. They have like 4 different levels of mineral potency and they all taste ever so slightly different.
Your gonna have to change your intro if you are posting 2x a week….this is your weekly reminder squared that Robert and James are NOT the same pearrrrrsoooonnn❤😍🥰
There are water sommelier that meet in Japan and rate the waters every year, I watched a few videos on RU-vid then did a deep dive on Google as I am really fussy about my water
i dont know if you both have tried it but there is a seltzer water here called polar its not to bad when its lemon, wish me luck on the lime one though! 😂 your laughs are contagious
In sweden we have really good tap water. Its nice not having to rely on bottled water. We also have machines called "sodastream" (I don't know if that's an international thing?) which makes tap water into sparkling water.
