Fun fact: chicken helmets are actually used to help hens because the roosters are really agressive when mating and pull feathers out of their heads. So yeah! They tend to not work unless the hens have really small combs (peacombs).

TO BE FAIR; I do actually use the cat blindfold on my horrible little hellspawn to trim her claws. She was traumatized at the vet when she was a baby so she completely flips out. You can wrap them up so they don’t scratch you but she also bites. She also has to be drugged with gabapentin. And that damn cat won’t eat food with the powder in it so I need to find another way :/ I’ve literally never had any cat anywhere near this bad with trimming claws, I’ve fostered 170.

I believe the bird holder might be for veterinary use? 12:00 I actually bought one of those mini cameras off wish like that because my kid, who was like 7 at the time, wanted to catch a video of the tooth fairy. We setup the motion activated night mode and hid it in her room when she lost her tooth, and then I spent all night editing in video footage of the a cartoon wisp in her room flying to her pillow and back out of the room and put the video back on the camera. The next day we checked the camera and she saw the footage and was just so excited about it. She went on and on about it for over a year.

@20:18 I think camera laws vary state to state. In MN you need "implied consent". I think this mostly applies to businesses, but basically - you don't have to explicitly tell someone they're being filmed, but you have to post a visible sign somewhere on the property that says that cameras exist on said property. Most businesses just put it on the door. I have no idea what the rules are in a private residence though.

The thing about Wish that always draws me in is that.. like.. it’s not totally insane. The bird holder thing could be a useful device to hold pigeons still while you clip netting off their toes (I’ve seen homemade/ DIY ones that look similar) and for a lot of animals their stress levels go down when you cover their eyes. There’s a sound idea there based on reality. I consistently get the ad for an alley of stray cats, and I think it’s for catnip seeds? And sure, we’ve all heard the tale about someone’s grandma wanting catnip planted over their memorial instead of cut flowers so. Fine. I’m on board with all that, it’s just the leaps in logic Wish expects you to make. I could be wrong about all of this though, because even once I gave them my details the whole page was in German? Maybe? And when I used google translate to find the settings and clicked on English, it logged me out

I bought the hamster harness, they don’t have a hamster in the picture because no self respecting hamster will allow themselves to be harnessed, they just go squish and turn into a liquid and escape. Also the leash part is only about two feet long, so if you’re over about... two and a half feet tall your hamster would just be dangling from a string in the air.
