I have started to make your salsas and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making these recipe’s available to all of us. As a Texan, I pretty much eat some form of salsa 3-4 times a week but was always reticent to try to make it myself because I thought it would be awful- but your videos made it happen for me! I made it for my family and they can’t stop eating it- made me SO proud to be able to make something they couldn’t stop eating. We’re all gringos, so the Mexican food we’ve made hasn’t been all that great over the years, but watching your videos has made me feel like I can do it! You seem like a wonderful person, I really appreciate everything your doing and I hope I’ll run into you one day so I can shake your hand. It may sound silly to people outside of Texas, but salsa is such an important part of all of our lives, I just can’t tell you how much it means to me to be able to create my own and not be embarrassed by it- rather, I’m inspired. Thanks man!!!! You’re the best!!
I made this salsa tonight and my husband absolutely loves it! We've made 3 or 4 of your salsas now and we don't buy from the grocery any more. Thank you!!
Ahhh…Potato tacos. Reminds of when me and a bunch of buddies returned to one of their apartments after a night out. Long story short, we were drunk, and my buddy thought his wife had left some mashed potatoes out after dinner. Drunk and hungry, he made himself a taco. Sad part being, the potatoes weren’t potatoes. My friend took a half taco bite of a Manteca taco! One of our funniest moments ever.
ArnieTex your chicken salsa looks delicious,a must try. I'm so glad I found your channel, I really enjoy your cooking. I want to try the salsa macha look good as well.☘️👍😎
I have everything prepped & ready to make salsa with everything extra picked from the garden. I’ll definitely be trying this out! Thanks for another great video & more awesome ideas! ❤
I love this salsa. I also put 1 or 2 chile pasillas that have been soaked in hot salt water for half an hour and an extra 2 tbsp of hot oil while everything is in the blender. The oil makes the salsa really creamy when it’s blended.
I’m really liking your videos. The dove popper video brings back some good memories of hunts with family. I can eat a ton of queso fundido now I gotta try this chicken bouillon salsa!!
SINsational recipe! Just made it and it's delicious! Yes, I added salt but that's an incredible salsa that can be added to any main dishes also, like shrimp
Recently made this salsa and it was incredible! Tweaked it a bit but definitely one to make again 😊 really good if you cook it with some chicken and veggies 🙌
I'm like you and have never tried adding chicken bouillon to my salsas. To be honest I think it is less the bouillon people enjoy and more the MSG in the bouillon. I do Iike the idea of using it with a veggie type taco though.
Yeah, I watched this right before dinner. And now my stomach is turning as I'm about 974 times more hungry than before this video started. This will slap when I throw it down.. Likely with some refrieds. Thank you for this recipe!
Those chilis range from 300,000 to One MILLION SHU!! For reference a jalapeno ranges from 3 to 8,000 SHU. And it looked like Arnie added at least ten in there. Hot stuff!
Good salsa recipe. I make something similar, but substitute chile de arbol and caldo de tomate, and add a handful of rough chopped cilantro at the end instead of blending it. The tacos de papa look tasty, although I usually leave mine a little chunkier.
I put that $#!+ on everything! That Knorr goes in *most* of my chili or Mexican inspired dishes. Not everything, but it amps up the flavor of a lot of dishes.
I love your videos, Do you have a suggestion for a heavy cilantro based red salsa every time I make it it never taste quite as good as some others I've had or very bland. Salsa is the one thing I feel like I can't figure out.
Nice pan flip Chef Arnie! I will def look for those lil dried peppers when I am back in Texas! Should be there by end of November! Can't wait to go shopping at H.E.B! Hahaha I love salt, too. Prefer salt / savory to sugar / sweet. I'm watching the Taco Chronicles series on Netflix and the San Antonio episode shows taco papa on the menu board and I didn't know what that was so this is perfect timing! My mother grew up in Maine and picked potatoes as a kid. There is even a Maine candy made from baked potato, called Needhams, or potato candy, so a taco made with potato is perfect! I love taters! Oh oh the latest Tasting History video on YT shows how to make butter with a lil hand-crank butter churn you can buy from the A-store. I had to order one and the butter paddles. They arrive tomorrow! Butter makes everything better ;) Happy cooking, everyone! I made home made sour cream and yogurt, yesterday. Going to make home made ricotta, today. And I will have some heavy cream left over to make home made butter, tomorrow. I can't wait to taste that butter, yum!
Do you use your chilli sauce for your enchiladas or do you have another enchilada sauce you make, I've seen many recipes but nothing I'm in love with, my mom taught me the tomato sauce n Chile powder on, then there is the making a rue adding chilli powder ect
I've been harping the attributes of Knorr bullion powder on this channel and others as well. The main ingredient is salt msg is the second ingredient. I use it for a salt substitute. No way would I personally put any more salt in that salsa. But that's just me.
I don't consider MSG to be "cheating" any more than salt. To me, saying "their main ingredient is MSG" is no different than saying their main ingredient is salt. It's just ingredients.
Wonder if you'd be willing to do a recipe for chunky salsa for morons like myself who can't cook to save ourselves and who have coeliac disease. In my case I get really ill if I eat anything made with wheat, rye, barley, corn, maize and lactose (Milk, cheese etc). Recently I also discovered I have a reaction to coffee. ~_~ Not a fun discovery. I like the Dorritos mild salsa thats sold here in Scotland in small jars. I could eat it as is. But since developing coeliac disease I cant have it anymore as it contains corn starch. Most premade packaged foods have some form of gluten starch like corn starch, maize starch, wheat starch. Meaning I have to finally, and unwillingly, learn how to cook. ~_~
You bring up a point a nutirion professor told our class, that MSG tricks the brain into thinking something tastes good. Since then, I prefer not to use it.
Knorr changed their tomato with chicken flavor recipe and it’s awful!! It used to be a deep red color and now it’s pale and flavor is nowhere near the same. Hard to trust a company that makes changes to their tried and true recipe but doesn’t let you know.
