Finally, after a week in the provincial islands of Siargao and Hinatuan where uploading RU-vid videos is impossible, we are back in Cebu City, where I recorded this, my first full day in the Philippines.
Take your cap off when eating 🤦♂️🤣 I learnt very quickly that the safest way to cross the road in Mandaue Cebu is to be aggressive, just push your way across the street and raise your hand like a grateful gesture, i used this technique last year even without pedestrian crossings and it worked everytime, my GF was amazed how much respect the drivers showed my aggression.... Almost like a police officer 😂😂
Thanks heaps. I’m glad you enjoyed this food review and I’ve got heaps more on the way, as soon as I can find good wifi connection to upload them to RU-vid 😃🙌
nice Video, nice couple, even if you appear a bit overly exited. But I know from my own experience that the first impression of the Filipina in combination with the Philippines can be kinda overwhelming 😆 I wish you guys all the best!
Sisig is normally made from the meat of pork head including the ears, snout and the thin meat with skin all over its head. That gives the sisig a mix of crunchy and soft textures due to the presence of cartilage in ears and snout and thin strips of fatty skin of the pork head. The crunchy dried fish is the small rabbitfish, sundried, one variety is salted and one is unsalted. The variety that is often offered in carenderias or small eateries is the salted one. The bigger hotels and restaurants offer both salted and unsalted.
Ah yes, thanks heaps for this info @lionhearted1969. I did know that about the ingredients of sisig, but had totally forgotten and am now kicking myself for not sharing this more interesting information. And I didn’t know info on danggit, so really appreciate you taking the time to share this info with me, truly appreciated mate.
Fair play to you bro I hope you both have amazing time together and life together don’t listen to the stupid comments probably just jealous take care both 🇵🇭🇬🇧🏖️🏖️🏖️
Cheers mate. Yes, it amazes me that the people with negative comments seem to think that they know everything when they know nothing of my life history or her life history. They just bracket us as doomed from the start, lol! They must be sharing their sad life experiences and are convinced that everyone else will fail too! But we are both very positive people and read the negative comments with amusement, while appreciating the majority of positive comments like yours, wishing us all the best 😊🙌
Thanks and yes, I know the ice will get me at some point. I always ask if the ice is made from tap water and so far, they’ve all been honest and told me if it is so I can avoid it. But the dreaded time will come, lol!
I know what you mean Mark. My first reaction was how disappointed I was with Filipino food, but since then, I have actually eaten some really good Filipino food, even in the cheap “carenderias”.
I actually really liked the longganisa I tried. It was the chorizo that I suffered from, because it was undercooked. I’ve definitely got to be more careful, lol!
This is my first trip to the Philippines and I’ve only been here just under 3 weeks, but my budget has been quite low as we’ve been visiting my girlfriend’s family. And if you’re referring to what I earn on RU-vid, that’s nothing because I’ve only just started posting videos and I’m very amateur at it just now, but it’s fun learning and I’m not thinking of actually earning from posting videos, though if I was to, that would be a fun bonus 😊
@@seangaskin7608 Congratulations. You have finally met in person your love of your life, right?! Please Sir, do not let her off your sight. She might get kidnapped!😊😅😮
Thank you so much Bert. We are so happy to finally be together after 11 months LDR and things that unfortunately forced me to postpone my trip. But we are happy so thank you for your kind comment 🥰🙏
