For the heating pack, you're meant to put the meal packet inside of the heating bag for "proper heating". Nonetheless it's one of the better MRE's and it's a welcome sight on an FTX.

When I got the Beef Pattie MRE back in 1986 (I was USMC) it was a completely de-hydrated & inedible BRICK! I'm glad to see that they've made a lot of major advances in food-tech since then!

Try putting the food bag inside the heater bag easier and faster heating.

Veggie Crumble, Meatball Marinara, Italian Sausage Marinara, and chicken with egg noodles are my go-to in the field.

Kneed the cheese packet and heat it up slightly and it's perfect. Good video.

Does somebody know when the change in the accessories of this MRE change? In some videos Menu 19 has ketchup and mustard and in some others it as BBQ Sauce and Mayonnaise.

Always a favourite meal that one, I think it leaked around 2009 when it had twin pack wheat snack breads, ketchup and mustard with jalapeno cheese spread for the ultimate MRE Burger lol

Taras: You're supposed to put what ever you're heating up in the heat bag and then put everything in that cardboard box, That is why your meat didn't get good and done.

gotta warm the cheese spread up!

Stick the MRE in the bag with the water and it cooks better. More even, and on both sides. Just rinse it off when you;re done.

That must be the "millennial"version of MRE😂😂

You are supposed to KNEAD the cheese packet before opening it.

Main goes IN the FRE. The water conducts the heat.
