XZ+ has all the additional bells and whistles below and definitely the best value for money; 1. iRA car connect 2. Leatherette seats 3. Tyre pressure monitor 4. Xpress car cooling 5. Dual tone colour-Exterior 6. Front wipers-Aircraft style 7. 8 speakers and 4 tweeter 8. Steering wheel and gear knob wrapped in leather 9. Turn by turn navigation options on digital instrument cluster and few other shiny bits on the interior.

We bought Tata Altroz XZ+ DCA (O) on 17th April from Arya Tata, Sector-14, Gurugram. Within two months, we have faced issue with the AC and the engine. The AC stops working on standby mode and sometimes, while the car is driven. Recent problem which is a grave issue is the car halts out of the blue and it does not start. The first time this happened, we had to wait for almost two hours on a main road for someone from Tata to come and resolve the issue. Nothing was resolved in our first free servicing which was discovered in the test drive. We brought the car again on 25th June which is yesterday so that the AC and the major problem of the engine/battery problem gets resolved. However, today evening after all the formalities, when we started the car to take it back home, it was worse. The car started for two seconds to come back to a halt. We tried thrice and then, we had to call the staff. Our experience with this Tata Car and After-sales Services have been so disappointing that we utterly regret buying an automobile of an Indian Brand. We had a Honda City ZX (Bronze Pearl colour) and we have had an amazing experience with the car for almost 14 years. With the Tata Altroz, we are having wastage of time, money, efforts and I don't know how much of the defects will be resolved and how much problem we have to face after the Warranty Period is over.

Wow, I really liked the explanation. I own an Altroz XT & am happy about it. But after watching this I felt like I should have gone for XZ variant. Anyways! 😁

@@unboxordinary Yes, it is good for outstation drive. It's 10/10 in control when runs on highway, even at 120kmph. XZ would have arm rest for comfort, so better you go for it.

@@unboxordinary Tata cars are not that silent as Maruti Suzuki & others, cz of being 3-cylindered. But the noise isnt that high or bothering. Compared to the Tiago, Altroz has less noise inside. Slow pick-up is there but nothing to be worried about, it was my first car as well so I feel good about it to drive.

Digital instrument cluster and leather wrapped steering are only available in XZ+, it's already discontinued from XZ varient from Jan2022 onwards

@@abhiroy435 I just bought an xza , not plus , i can confirm that i got both those features in my car . So I asked the executive from tata showroom , he said all xza s are coming with instrument clusters and leather wrapped steering wheels . Must be an upgraded in automatic altroz , but not yet updated in their site.

@@phantom6536 Congratulations 👍🏻 I bought XZ+ iturbo 5 days ago. As I've checked and also my dealer confirmed digital instrument cluster and leather wrapped steering are no longer available with XZ varient... might be different in DCA.

It does very well. As soon as you get off the brakes, the crawl acceleration is gentle and smooth. The DCT has quick gear changes and because the engine performance is linear and not particularly quick, they remain jerk-free as well. If you are driving gently in traffic, the gearbox is quick to shift to 4th gear and you won't even notice it getting there. Downshifts under partial throttle conditions to gain some speed happens swiftly and without losing momentum. Under sudden and heavy throttle input, it does take some time to select a lower gear, but that too doesn't spoil the experience. The handicap in the drive experience is still the engine. It's not very refined and quite flat in its power delivery. Hence, if you are looking for a sporty drive experience or quick acceleration from the Altroz DCA, the gearbox shifts to the right gear but the engine lacks pull. The new dual-clutch automatic transmission brilliantly compliments the Altroz by offering smooth and quick shifts. The Nexon is the best to be seated in, offers a spacious cabin, fits in three people at the rear quite comfortably, and is great to ride in, thanks to those soft-cushioned seats and suspension setup. It also gains a massive edge in features, but all that comes at a hefty price premium. On the other hand, The ideal all-rounder here is the Altroz, with a premium cabin feel, great practicality, decent boot space, and a very enjoyable ride and driving experience. Altroz is a good choice if you want a spacious, well-built and safe hatchback. The i20 has the better engine option (Turbo + DCT) but it falls behind in terms of safety. Pick based on your preference! All the best. :)
