I own Nexon 2019 Petrol. This car is more SUV-ish than Nexon. In Nexon, you can not see the left side of the Bonet. Ingress and egress are easier in this car and a bit tricky in my Nexon due to its coupe-like roof. Also, in Nexon, if you raise the seat height your hair almost starts touching the roof and if you lower your seat height you feel that you are sitting in a lifted sedan rather than an SUV. The rear windows on the Nexon are small and make it a bit claustrophobic but the rear windows in the Punch look bigger and make the cabin feel more spacious.
That left side bonet issue....totally agree, because of that end up scratching the lower left side front bumper few times in traffic of my new vehicle. It feels like you have enough space in left side but you end up with scratches. Though I never faced other two issues that you mentioned, fyi I'm 5'11".
But punch is more hatchback in performance 1.2 ltr naturally aspirated 86 bhp and 113 nm. Whereas 2021 nexon is 1.2 ltr turbo petrol 118 bhp and 170 nm at 1750-4000 rpm. Highly impossible considering the Battery costs which is still around 150$/Whr nd many other things need to be considered in an EV. Punch EV will be placed around 12-14 lacs (based on variant) !
Tigor EV costs about 12.5 to 13.5 while the tigor xza+ petrol costs around 9 so a difference of 4.5 L. Considering same for Punch it will cost around 15L. Not that impression now is it?
Rightly said.. people who are posting weird battery visavis cost... Look at chinese auto market without subsidy they have car with same km range at 4 lakh without government subsidies... Indian automaker could certainly make them once green signal is given by government for ev not hybrid vehicle..

No doubt tata and mahindra cars are absolutely brilliant.. they hv realised its time to give safer cars to Indians. I own nios amt. I was disappointed when it scored only 2 stars. The interiors and exteriors of nios was of high quality. I was surprised it scored so low. Anyway, where tata needs to improve is their engine and service department. In the last 300 kms drive, nios gave me 25.6kmpl n it has 4 cylinders..i was blown over..nios engine is butter smooth, almost no vibrations. If only tata improves engines and service, their cars will outperform everything in market.
Looks like Tata has targeted Maruti cars portfolio like Swift, WagonR, Ignis. And Mahindra targeted Hyundai's SUV portfolio like Creta, Alcazar with XUV700.

AMT is very good and fun to drive but the real issue is that if u face any problem in AMT gearbox, there is literally no solution at most of the service centres.
This car is pretty good for city driving and as we saw from the launch video it is a great off read performer as well. But the most concerning factor is the service provided by Tata motors. If you take the car for off roading and for some reason the car stops working then you're on your own. You cannot rely on Tata motors to help you out in that situation. As seen from some other car manufacturers they help you out even when you're stuck in some unserviceable regions but the same cannot be expected from Tata motors.
@@PremKumar-dt5tq Yeah, Tata is a great brand in every field. Even in building great cars. The only place it lacks is it's after sales service. But I'm sure if Tata decides to take it seriously they can improve their after sales service in no time.
Does TATA punch base variant(Pure) has central locking, I mean Does it have all four doors lock from inside option .. no lever inside at driver door through which by pushing down, we can lock all the 4 doors , I don't see that option here.

i have my Toyota Etios cross and selling it because it it is a diesel car and due to limitation of running after 10 years in delhi and planning for tata punch but little worried coming from Toyota to tata it is little pain.. don't know whether i should go with it or not Toyota etios cross never disappointed even a single time.
If I have budget of Rs. 6.5 lacs on road. So which car is suitable for me ? Nissan magnite, Kigar or TATA Punch? I normally use car 2000km to 2500km per month. Right now I have i10 magna. Please suggest from your end and experience.
If u want a colour suggestion go for Bronze or mist colour looks better with black dual tone and also if ur not into those colours then orange and red for funky people looks crisp than other colours.

there is huge difference in tunning of nexon & punch if ur enthusiast then altroz turbo & nexon turbo petrol will gud pick if u need mini suv affordable price then punch is there
Does cruise control and automatic transmission features make much difference for highway drive for 600+ kms. I am 30 yrs old, I may have to take long trips to go home. Looking for car for this purpose.
Very nice review. But I think there should be one LED cabin light instead of halogen bulb which I hope at least showrooms will offer. I hardly see showrooms offer such things. But if TATA motors can ask them to allow such small mods in the car, will be great instead of going out and get it modified.
I love SUV and my budget is less hence I decided to wait for Tata HBX since 2020 auto expo... I now feel its worth waiting... I believe your words sir and I sense you too seem to be excited about this product from Tata... I will wait for few more months to listen to the owners' experience...and then will take final call.
