@@deepblue8143 No. This episode was really bad. Bruce is rambling and getting way too into the weeds. I'm sure at various points in this session, Bruce lost track of who the show was about (Tatanka). As far as Bruce spouting his conversative views- we people of color kinda already know Bruce and the WWE gang are staunch conversatives, and we know that wrestling in general comes with a documented racist and sexist past, but please stop telling 40% of your listening audience to "get over" the racist and awful moments where the WWE depicted people of color in awful ways. We sorta just let it go now because there is a love there for pro wrestling. But don't lose us altogether by starting to justify the WWEs moments of bigotry. Just say yes, it happened, we were wrong, and now we know better, and move on. Conrad is very brave to put these tough issues out there. I appreciate that. I would have been double upset if Conrad started ignoring these issues of race and bigotry. Good job Conrad. Do better Bruce.
@@DT-we2yeStop speaking for 40% of the audience. You choose to play victim and live in the past, im sure the bulk of that 40% is far more emotionally intelligent than that, don't lump good people into your insecure racist outlook on life.
I love Bruce calling out woke society. Because this attitude of you can’t do or say this. Or portray this on tv. It’s story telling. Bad guys are supposed to say and do bad things on shows and movies.
I think Tatanka's heel turn in 1994 was one of the best swerves ever. How he kept insinuaiting that Lugar had taken DiBiase's money and then the big swerve at SummerSlam.
I always tell everyone how great this was. In simple terms it was presented as this is either option A or option B and the resolution was actually option C... I don't think that type of booking happens enough in wrestling!
The Dory as Doink segment had me in tears I’m talking completely cleared my sinus levels of crying 😂 that was so unexpected. Lol by the time we got to Dory going over in an ELiMINaTIoN cHamber match they were gonna need to make a hologram of me cause I almost died. 😅😭 Great stuff you two 👍🏾🫡
Tatanka was a good, solid, dependable wrestler, who should have had a longer run with the WWF/WWE during every one of his stints in the company. I think that Tatanka was one of the most underappreciated wrestlers in the history of WWE.
This episode was both awful yet amazing all at once. I think they actually need more of these train wreck episodes cuz theres some vintage STW wrapped into this mess and I love it 😂
Thanks for the show. I listen to these weekly, definitely an entertainment and allows me to, just for short time, get away from usual crap and just relax. Thank Y'all!!
Being Lumbee myself, I never had a problem with the way Tatanka was betrayed. Even when he turned heel and bought out by the Million dollar man. But I'm a Million dollar Man and Tatanka mark and hated Luger.
The mixed tag of Tatanka/Sherri vs Bigelow/Luna was originally intended for SummerSlam 1993, it was in the wwf magazine event preview but it was never announced on TV
A 2 hour show on Tatanka and spent about 45 minutes actually talking about Tatanka lol. I wanna know why he was replaced with the Undertaker for the survivor series. That was not talked about.
Ludvig Borga injured Tatanka’s ribs, then Yokozuna gave him a banzaii drop onto his ribs after that match a few weeks before Survivor Series 1993. Tatanka was out of Survivor Series because of the injury so Undertaker replaced Tatanka on Lex Lugers Survivor Series team.
Bruce has repeatedly said that the Berzerker left the wwf after SSlam 92. Maybe there was an issue with him returning after the long trip but he did not leave the company as he had multiple TV matches after this one, including the 1993 Royal Rumble.
This is the greatest episode ever with the exception of the story about Kevin Dunn and Jim Cornette. "Doink And Dory" needs to be on a t-shirt just as much as "You're Tiresome" does!
@@deepblue8143 Bruce could barely talk and when he did he did it was rarely about Tatanka and even more rarely made sense. If you enjoyed it then more power to you but imo it was fucking abysmal.
I tend to agree with Scott 'Raven' Levy a lot, but I have always disagreed with him on the Tatanka turn. According to Raven, everyone was sure Luger was the one turning. I remember seeing the swerve from a mile away.
My dad still has a bag of my sisters hair that I, when I was about 6 years old, cut off while we were playing barber shop as our babysitter, our older brother, took a nap. I cut her long hair short like a little boy 😂
I had a friend in high school who told me "Tatanka isn't a real native American because his name is Chris Chavis, IT'S A WORK!" Like in order to be one he has to have "Sitting Bull Pampa Wampum" on his birth certificate to actually be one.
Had to check the video out after listening to the last few minutes on audio podcast... now it makes sense... I literally thought a real banjo was involved lol
I guess there’s some rumor and innuendo even Conrad won’t touch, regarding Tatanka’s suspension. To be fair, I don’t blame the guys for not wanting to drag Tatanka’s name through the mud anymore
Suspended. And I think it became apparent after 5 or 6 months that Tatanka was innocent and he was back for a couple of months returning at the Royal Rumble.
@@IronDiva The Helter Skelter incident was when Tatanka was blamed for an incident where a groupie was h-bombed by one of the wrestlers…. She passed out, someone shaved her head and smeared (maybe) her period blood on the walls… Tatanka was blamed and suspended/fired, but it turned out to be that “Gigalo “Jimmy Del Rey was the culprit… Tatanka was then exhonerated and reinstated… This is according to Kevin Nash in a shoot interview… just type Kevin Nash Helter Skelter incident
@@IronDiva 3 days after the Summerslam 1995 a woman from Anaheim went to the cops claiming that the WWF announcing Wrestlemania 12 to take place there triggered some bad memories. According to her she got raped and tortured by a bunch of WWF wrestlers on December 29, 1994 and named Jimmy Del Rey and Tatanka specifically. Tatanka got suspended for 6 months, Del Rey was already fired long before. Is Tatanka innocent? Nobody knows for sure. Nash claims he is, but Nash is a unreliable lying drunk. Everybody agrees that Del Rey did something because he was a known rapist (using GHB on girls and all that) Nothing else came out of the story due to a lack of evidence though.
Nonsense it was planned all along. Tatanka in a interview even said when he was told he has to job to Borga he couldn't understand it. The plan back then was for Borga to defeat him and go undefeated until Wrestlemania X were he would face a World Champion Lex Luger.
At that moment in time, Shawn needed the IC belt a lot more than Tatanka did. Tatanka was already over and on an undefeated push, while Shawn had won a lackluster match against Davey, lost to Bret, and not done a lot else yet.
I miss raising the flag at Panchos!!! But Silva does make me want some sopapillas with his shirt off!! And he reminds me of the new ojos locos that is where panchos is in the sw side!!!
Each one of these episodes since Bruce's surgery has been a similar ride. Part 1: Jesus is he okay? Why are they taping this? Part 2: Eh. I guess this is kinda ok. Not sure what naked pics Conrad has of Bruce that he's agreeing to this but I can listen to a little more. Part 3: This is hilarious! More tipsy Bruce!!!
I always liked tatanka I always wanted him to be more full on with gimmick More colour more facepaint more feathers and him being called wareagle wouldve been much more exciting And he deffinately shouldve beat shawn for the ic title at mania 9
The first 45 minutes they're talking about malls, mattresses, and doink the clown. Wth? Do they cut out their chit chat for premium subscribers? Thought this episode was supposed to be about Tatanka.
Jesus guys - this episode was brutal. If Bruce isn’t going to be in better shape and ready to go than this…don’t do the episode. This was fucking awful.
23:00 mark....What the fuck was Bruce talking about? I get the fact Owen was busting on Strongbow...but what the hell did that have to do with Tatanka?
I like everything about the show ,but, I'm sorry but sorry the damn PRIME drinks are nasty! I'm sure they're a sponsor and I'm sure my opinion won't cloud said sponsorship, but I'm yet to find another human that likes the taste. I've been told it's like drinking murky stagnant water from a flower pot that sit in the sun for weeks uhhh, but the show is great..
@@oneimage84 there's always something that came before, what constitutes first? How far back do we go? What can be considered first in most senses doesn't usually exist anymore. And if they feel so inclined can try to take it back.
