Looks promising. I've been away from Blender for about 6 months, and I forgot a lot of techniques that were becoming second nature. This seems like a good all-around type of tutorial to refresh my memory and get back up to speed. Among all the tutorials I've done from various people, yours are some of the easiest to follow along with.

Hi Ryan there is a good way to make the sand dunes for tatooine. Use displace modifier and use magic texture or cloud texture. You then later use proportional editing for the rest but great video really loved it.

Hey Ryan! This was a great tutorial but I do have 1 question When making multiple scenes of 1 location, should I make a full environment where any camera angle looks proper, kind of like a game environment, or making separate scenes while also remaking the whole environment? And if I were to make multiple scenes of 1 environment with a sun, should I make it a sphere instead of a circle? Or should I just keep rotating it to keep the illusion of a sphere?

If you want to render lots of different angles, then I would make a full environment, and make it so it looks good all around. In this scene, I only made it look good from the camera's perspective, but if you want to render it from different angles, then yeah I would fill out the scene more. I would keep the sun and lights how they are, so that the lighting is consistent.

Hmm, I've actually attempted to do something along the lines of this in connection to the sky texture over the hdri but I've somehow managed to turn off the hdri in the render window and, also, changing the background colour strength makes absolutely no difference whatsoever. Clearly, I've messed it up. I also can't seem to scale the texture I've used. It's all very disheartening.

@@RyanKingArt I've just made a hash of it really. Textures are my nightmare. I probably need to remove all the textures and start again...if I can work out how to do that. Seriously, I yearn for the day when I can look at my creations and just enjoy the solid renders, never mind the full textured renders.

@@RyanKingArt I'd turned on Transparent in the Scene>Film menu. The Display Render now works the way I want it too. Next problem: textures. :)

Hmm, is it the Sky Texture in the world nodes you are using? Did you make sure you set all the settings that I set on that node? Also, what Blender version are you using? if you are using an older version of Blender, it might act differently.

I have the 2.93.1 version, and I make sure to copy everything, but for some reason the sky is completely white, there is no sun, nor colors

Someone no reddit helped me, aparently I had the EEVEE rendering properties, and I needed to change to cycles

Thanks for watching! If you are asking for advice, I think having your voice in your tutorials would really help, instead of just having music. And explaining what to do and how to do it, would help people to follow the tutorial. Also, I would recommend quality over quantity. Try to make a really good final result, before you make a tutorial on it. If you want to grow your subscribers, you just have to keep making high quality videos.
