Great video, thank you so much! For so long I’ve been practicing with no real strategy or direction, now finally your 1&0 method has given my practice a foundation giving me immediate results. I’m so happy I got some wind under my sails again. Thank you thank you!!!
WOW thank you so much for this comment! it was so nice to read. I'm so happy that its helped you! again thank you again for commenting, helping people is why I make my videos so its great to know that its been worth all the effort I put in to it and it helps me keep going
Bro just watch video and the 0 and 1 method has helped me so much with my flow and consistency ! Definitely hit the bell on this page keep helping us artist!
Great video man! The 1’s and 0’s is a game changer, been struggling for a minute but I can already see a massive difference in consistency and shaping with my lettering even after 1 evening 🙏🏼 thanks a lot G 👊🏼🔥
Thank you very much, I just thought it was a very important part to lettering, I see this mistake being made all the time while people are doing lettering they don't really know where it should be thick so it looks a bit random
@@PHughesTattoo thus is the first time I seen anything about 1's and 0's, I'm going to try it. Just to see, but my letters are pretty good. Maybe it will help ..
This just popped up in my suggested videos probably because of my interest in print lettering. It was very interesting to watch your technique. Amazing skills! Great use of Procreate as well. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! Comments like this and all the support I get on my channel means so much to me. I'm forever grateful to all who comment, subscribe and show their support. Thank you again
Hi Paul, would you be able to do a vídeo showing how to do those artworks that combine: 3 or more words, with banners, contours, flourishing, etc? I just would like to understand the composition of those tattoos. Thanks a lot mate. You are a great asset to the tattoo industry. Regards Bira.
Yeah sure! I'm currently working on another video which should be coming very soon, but I would definitely do a video like that in the near future! thank you so much for watching my videos and your kind words Bira. It really is much appreciated.
hey bro, really good and informative video!! definitely is gonna help improve my calligraphy skills, however one thing i do struggle with is making the flourishes to add more to the design… a video on that would be great or even just some tips… thanks! 💪🏽
Thank you very much! I'm happy you liked the video! Yeah hopefully I'll be able to get back to making videos really soon! I've been away from the camera for a while as I've been extremely busy but I'll definitely make it one of the things on my video to do list ☺️ thanks again for commenting!
What would the M and W be in your binary system? I guess a better question is what is your binary alphabet? I like the simplicity of your system and it makes a lot of sense. I appreciate the video lesson.
thank you very much for watching, im actually going to be posting another video about this elaborating and going more into detail about the binary method. I also have a discord server that you can join. so its a bit easier for people to ask questions and ill be posting pictures and explanations on there too. if your interested the link to the discord server is in the description.
thank u, this is what i was searching for! Can u tell me where i can find all letters in big and small for practicing? Or maybe make an alphabet Video? ☺️ greetz from germany
thank you very much for watching! i usually find that artists like "Boog", "BJ Betts" and "Big Meas" really helped me when i was starting out. i have actually thought about doing an alphabet video as ive been asked for this further down in the comments. so that may be my next video.
If the top of the f was looped then the top of the loop should be at capital letter height. But seeing how I didn't loop it, I chose to bring it down to accommodate for the flourishes and filigree above so that it could flow from the t and l uninterrupted. Thanks for noticing though not a lot of people would have done.
So personally I only use an app called procreate for the iPad Pro. But I know a lot of other artists use other apps and programs like photoshop. But the concept would work no matter what the program really. As long as you can draw on it, it's a good app/program. Thank you for watching my videos 😊
Hey man I'm in the middle of my tattoo portfolio and this video helped a lot so thanks. Not sure if you said it in the vid but is there a name for that style of lettering?
I'm happy my video helped you! I'm not sure it really has a name, it's just something that I came up with myself over time but I used other styles to create it. But the best way to think about it is that there's no set way to do lettering but as long as they follow the basic shapes and are consistent, it makes for good lettering.
@@jenner1000 I used to think the whole font thing mattered but over time I realised that the key to good lettering was just consistent lean, thickness, size etc. Everything else is open to your own interpretation as long as it follows the basic letter shape. 😊
@@PHughesTattoo glad to hear that, when I’m doing it I’m focused too much on the “rules” and although it looks like script it’s got this dead energy if ya get me
I actually did that with the technical pen in the inking folder. I turned the size of the pen up and just changed my pressure of my hand on the pen rapidly as I drew the lines.
Hiya, just wounded if you're doing this on an iPad? And is it a drawing app that you have to pay for to be able to draw? And what sort of pen (style) is it to please p? Thanks in advance to buddy ✊🏼
Hi! Yeah I used an iPad pro. I used the app procreate from the apple app store. As for the brushes I use, I always use the HB pencil and the studio pen in the inking folder. I hope this helps dude!
I think getting better at drawing is more about being able to identify what you don't like about you own drawing and what is different/ missing. I think once you can identify those things then you start to see improvement. Hope this helps. I know it seems like something pretty obvious but it's something people (including me) rarely think about, so it's usually my only advice for getting better.
@6footrandom556 no problem 😊 so I'm using a gen 2 ipad Pro. They're good to use as it's a lot easier to play around with ideas and change things without all the mess.
Hi excuse i want to ask u about the blackboard where u are drawing in this video i want to know the model or the name thank u and forgive my english but im italian and i cant speak or write very well
its an ipad pro, its one of the older gen models though, ive had it for years. the newer models have a few more features but really they all do the same job.
I've been very busy lately, I've actually not long had a little girl so when I'm not in the studio tattooing I've been on dad duty haha. But I do plan on getting back to work on the channel as soon as I can. The channel is very important to me and I do miss making content. Hopefully I'll be able to upload real soon. But I have got a video in the works for you guys.
