Wow man. I have been watching ur vids for the last 3 or 4 weeks and have learned so much from you. You have such great talent. Great work and keep bringing out tutorials. I have been watching them all. Thank you
I currently use a 4mm stroke machine for my black and grey and it's better then ever. I can get tones in faster dealing less trauma to the skin and the tattoos have been healing up faster . But then again it all comes down to hand motion riding the ocean ..wax on wax off type stuff !
That helped a lot and I would love to see you doing a portrait hair nose lips ect im actually just got reel skin and I’m gonna start practicing on it with portraits I’m super excited I have empire shade set and I also got the whitewash set too
Yes I'd love to see another realism video. Maybe how to do animal fur. This has to be the best video on RU-vid for realism. I've watched this video 4 times now! The way you break everything down. Realism is something I want to try, never have I done realism. I'm not the best at drawing portraits so I always figured realism isn't my style. I'll never know if I don't try and practice. So with that being said I'd love to see some more videos just like this one. As always much much respect Brandon. Oh by the way on your short 50 thousand subs video you were in West Virginia. Do you remember what part of WV looked familiar almost looked like the rest stop off RT 81.
I'm just starting out love your work brother would love to see more I'm a us army veteran severed in Afghanistan could you do videos of Fallin soldiers I think that would be dope brother
thanks for your tutotial, id love to see a tutotial on smooth color blending and smooth transitions ... like a sunset, or firey phoenix with briliant reds, oranges and yellows
Would love to be able to see the stencil/photo as an insert while you're inking so we can see what you're looking at (ie. at 6:20, you say "And we can see that there is a very light area right here...", but we can't). But super great video to watch. Amazing.
@tattooing101 Thanks for all the tutorials you make. Awesome work!! Small tip, it might be easier for projects like this to pin a small screen of the original at the bottom right of the screen so that people can see where you are in the project and what you are doing. Maybe then people will understand some parts better
Do you ever need to line realism tattoos, maybe with a light grey wash? I was wondering how artists preserve the stencil for a realism tattoo that requires multiple sessions.
So in my experience: there are water lines/blood lines which are essentially invisible a few days after the session which we use to map out many larger realism/surreal pieces. And there are ghost lines done with either a very light wash, gray ink or even a piece powder blue. As long as the lines are eventually absorbed into the edges and values smoothly, there are many technique for lining realistic tats
Nice video I do fine lines and realism this video help with some of the under tones of the eye just got one question tho could you use a FK IRON FLUX at 5.5v and liner to build those tones in just dots like stipple shading
Been 7 months since this realism piece. come on Brandon I need some more realism! Whats the next piece your thinking of doing? As always much RESPECT and God Bless!
How do you get the perfect needle depth when your mostly all wrist and no figure right underneath the cartridge? Like does that matter if your using a meg or a rounded shader
Hi can you tell why when doing a black and gray That you use a light first then a medium and then black Could you nor just use the black first Regards Mark
You can check out the reference in our previous video on how to make a realism stencil ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bOqj1YkFqIg.html
Is it a cleaning issue? I replace the inner gasket and "plug" as someone else called it every time i use it- they only cost a dollar a piece- and autoclave it between clients. Is there any other issue i should be aware of??
you have amazing lessons and great information. I am new to tattooing and i love your content. I am in no way a great artist but i am trying to work on it thank you so much
Wow, mindblowing video, but sidenote, you ask for it xD but can you make an animal with a lot of fur, like a lion or a bear, i really struggle with fur, and i want to understand how the hell realism fur works. Thank you btw :)
Because their disposable grips don’t come sterile so in order to use the machine on human skin you would need an autoclave but if you have one, you're good to go.
Why can't you use the Axys Valhalla on an actual client?? I'm really curious bc that's my main machine and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with that particular machine that I shouldn't be using it..?? Please respond!
Great video! As an apprentice, I appreciate these video's a lot! Are there risks of scaring, when it comes to realism tattooing? Specifically when it comes to shading over areas multiple times? Thanks.
That’s why u should use bug pin and especially long taper set up for the needle, less stress to the skin and much smoother application and texture, the only problem u will really found out it’s the needle depth 2 mm is too much 1 mm is too little
Help. No matter what I do, I can always see the individual needle lines. I have watched video after video, tutorial after tutorial, lines, shading, everything. Still I see the individual lines in my skins. Both fake skin as well as my own skin. From 5RS up to 9Mags. All combinations. The only way to get a fairly decent fill in to overwork the skin. Element black. Wormhole Pen. What am I doing wrong?
And what do u use I could’ve swore I hear u say Vaseline but I thought Vaseline pulled out ink?? Does anyone know what he’s using tht might be the key element im missing I’ve progressed pretty fast my first 4 tats on myself aren’t gonna needed covered up but forsure need some help I had a traumatic experience w my mentor so will not be using him…..
Hello my friend!, Is it nesessary to put dictelled water on the plastic cup to CLEAN our needle while we are tattooing? Or just tap water? Not at the small cups with tha innk, am talking to tha cup with clear water ...THANKS!!!
In your video you mentioned that you were using the axys Valhalla, but wouldn’t use it on human skin, can you elaborate why? I’m trying to get into the business and doing some research into what kind of machine I can use, and what is a good all around machine
You can’t use the Valhalla on humans? Why not? I’m still on my practice skin phase but I own this machine, should I be looking for a new machine when I move on to real people?
