Great discussion about the Tattoo shows. After injuries I retrained in culinary and all the culinary shows had given these young kids an elevated image of "who" they would be on graduation day. I was 44, when I graduated and I just wanted to work and be proficient at my craft.
Dave, So pumped to see how this journey unfolds. Love seeing the background thoughts of artists and their stories. Can't wait for more, love ya brother!
Big Dave My wife's uncle is a well known tattoo artist. He is in karnak Illinois a little town at the bottom of Illinois. He name is David hill and makes alot of the machines for tattoo artists he would be somebody worth looking up. He also has a hell or a story.
Went to high school with Darrens wife Missy. I love these two beautiful people... humble and kind. Love this show! Thanks for taking us on this ride with you guys.
In Episode 2 we swing by KC, but we visited our good friend Kimo Russell at Modified Ways. Dave has been championing Kimo for awhile and was really looking forward to getting some ink from him. Make sure you check that episode out!
So pumped to see this. Been waiting year’s for this to come out ! I know Dave and Denny personally. Amazing great people! Love the show. From Mike your banker, see you all soon!
What a great first episode. I had the pleasure of riding across the USA twice it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I can't wait to follow this journey and see what you fine folks discover. Thank you for making this, it is something I've been waiting for..
i worked in a shop in Toronto Canada for 15 years back in the 90's and i remember when a tattoo shop used to be a dangerous place to go into. You had to be polite or would get your ass thrown out. It sure was fun.
"I ride because my bike is where I belong. It's where I connect with God and with the world." I'm down not only to watch but to eventually make a connection and save some space for him to do a one off piece. Big dave you're awesome brother. God bless your family, shop and endeavors.
Lol red dog gotta hand it to red dog for being as humble as he Was when he was asked whether or not he hates Pinterest at the same time as being tatted in that tender spot on his arm.... Good man. Lol
I've been hearing about this show for several years from a family friend who rode around with Dave a bit. I even went several years ago and got a small little piece of work from the shop because Dave was so booked :). Now I finally got to see the show and start my morning off right. It was awesome!! Time to book out some more work.
Love this episode and to start off with such an epic artist. I’ve only kept up with McKeag for half a year now or so but because of my riding background instantly fell in love. Great show, great artist, great bikes please keep it coming!
I don't do tattoos myself but I totally respect the art form. I ride motorcycles and enjoy that life style and the people who share my passion. What great characters and content, I am looking forward to the rest of your series.
Awesome show! You know what I'd really like to know though; what's the tattoos on the tattoo artist mean. I mean what made them get tattoos and what was their first tattoo
My first tattoo artist was a scary looking dude. He was a huge, bearded biker and carried a Model 29 .44 Magnum on his hip. But he was a nerd as well. He played D&D and read comics and did art from those genres. He came across a big like Darren, maybe s bit more gruff, but a nice guy.
this show is disgustingly overproduced. it doesn't feel like a "reality" show. it feels like a cheesy scripted B movie that you never want to watch again. It's a shame because the concept of this show was great. But it got TV'd to death.
Not one bit of the show is scripted my friend... it is 100% authentic and in fact we turned down deals from major networks to keep it authentic and genuine and we are proud that we were able to keep its integrity in tact. We appreciate you watching brother, sorry you didn’t enjoy it.
Lol. Absolutely not a single fake riding scene in this. I went and looked at that exact time stamp. My clutch lever is black and it is fully engaged. Look again my friend.
