Fun fact: Hugh drawing on the billboard was completely improvised. It was never in the script. You can see him look at the camera crew instead of the team for just a brief moment before he looks back to the team when he says "Inappropriate?" They kept it in despite the possibility of backlash. The best improvised moment in the series, and so extraordinarily in-character for House.

I remember seeing somewhere in interview I can no longer find; I understand not taking my word for it but I'd like to note that I meant just the part of him drawing on Taub's face. It's not definitive proof, but the fact that he' looks at the crew before he says his line right after seems like reason enough to believe that he actually did just improvise it all. Plus, you can hear his tone fall slightly less "sure" of himself like House always does when berating or making fun of people. It's not a stretch to say that it was improvised, but I understand the skepticism. I've been searching for the interview for like an hour now and I can't find it goddamn anywhere.

@@Crowald I didn't mean to challenge you or to call you a liar; I'm just sort of fanatic about this show, I have several books about it, I've watched/read dozens of interviews, and I had never heard that account. I knew HL and Jennifer Morrison came up with the "black walnut-ginger tea" bit in "Autopsy," and that HL and Jesse Spencer ad-libbed the pancake steal and the almost-clapping "What, no applause?" thing from "Clueless," but those were the only instances I knew of improv on the set.

Taub was one of the more screwed up characters on House. The man imploded his life with flippant debauchery, wrecking his marriage, losing his plastic surgery practice and two infants from two different women. As smart as he was medically, Taub was quite stupid in the game of life.

Taub's wife is the textbook definition of a door mat. Man who makes all the money tells his wife he is going to cheat on her but it isn't cheating it is an 'open' relationship. Then wife starts looking for other man but he doesn't like it because she is his property. Women should never date or marry during a low self-esteem phase of their life. This is what happens.

@@embis3824 - To be fair, "can be" does not mean "will be". Some people make mistakes and never make them again, while some do so again and again no matter how "sorry" they feel at the time. Unfortunately, that's life. No one is obligated to forgive another just because they confessed and apologized. That's no guarantee of non-repetition. If you feel you won't be able to trust someone again, then walking away is the safest choice.

This person does not speak for the rest of us! I love House; it is and was one of the best shows ever put on television. But it is over and had a damn good run, even in later seasons. The world has had enough of this sewer dredging "bring back every good show of our past" to last several life times. Rather than beg for more House, I will instead hope for even more good shows in the future.

Personally I prefer shows do one reunion movie, sort of a "where are they now" kind of thing to celebrate then let it rest for good. Reviving shows for full seasons tends to not work and a 2 hour event can make far more for far less investment for the network.
