This is indicative of being a part of the golden era of guns! A "budget" gun was able to compete with a legendary manufacture like Sig for half the money. What a beautiful time to be a gun enthusiast!
I probably wouldn't have my first pistol so soon if it wasn't for Taurus's affordable options. Going to stick with them rather than go the Glock route.
You want to buy A Compact carry pistol? Without the Bells and Whistles, think about the selling price and how you can save on Bullets, maintenance etc. The G2C is just as Good as the others Bar None.
I'm a revolver guy. Love my wheel guns. My 19 year old son wanted my GP 100 6 inch so he traded me for his new G2C. After a little range time, it's now my every day carry gun. Love it
If Taurus or Kel-Tec or Hi-Point or some other "budget gun" had the problems that the 365 had, people would be trashing them on every video review or forum. But ohhh because it's Sig, they get a pass. It's funny how gun snobbery works
Rich Smith Hahaha. Exactly right!!! The worst 2 guns that I own are Rugers. For real. They are sending JUNK out the door, these days. My Taurus guns are amazing. Period.
QUITE true! And the most incredible thing about the 365 is that it now carries this image people always thought was typical of these "budget guns." And with 3 recalls so far by Sig, $600 is quite a crapshoot! One can Google ANY brand out there -including the sacred cow Glock- and punch in "problems" after the brand, and find a lot of pissed-off people. Sure - some problems are NOT problems with the gun but with the shooter, ammo, position. But I've seen a few Rolls-Royces on flatbeds going to the shop in my life, so ANYthing is subject to problems.
I really liked the size of the P365 for a Summertime appendix carry, but with each rerelease where they didn’t ‘fix’ anything, but made improvements.... and then you STILL hear the same issues happening, I can’t purchase a platform with sustained reliability issues. I’ve switched gears and I’m looking forward to purchasing an optics ready CZ P10S in the near future.
I have 2200 rounds out of my sig with no malfunctions. Every gun company has there error guns. Even glocks have malfunctions. It's manufacturing errors
Great review......2 years later and I have no regrets choosing the G2C over other brand name carry guns. 100% reliable and fun to shoot. A homerun for Taurus !
I own both, and the G2C definitely holds its own against the P365. I replaced the striker in the Sig, and have had no issues. This is a valid comparison, and you cannot go wrong with the G2C. For the price, it is the steal of the year.
WOW!!! With respect to all the other fine opinions here, YOURS has GOT to be of the most value: you have BOTH - the ultimate empirical evidence anyone could ask for! Thanks!!
I have both too and Carry the p365. The G3C is a good gun but the 365 Is better. It has better sites, better trigger, same magazine capacity but easier to conceal.
Totally agree. I paid $208 out the door for my G2C, reliable gun, great reviews, not too small or too large, 12+ 1 capacity, and great price. You'd be crazy to pay $600 for something else.
Really? You just said that "you would be crazy to pay $600 for something else?" So, I would be "crazy" to purchase an AR-15 over the Taurus? Or, $600 for a Smith and Wesson M&P? Or, $600 for a Glock 19X? I think your statement is about as "crazy and as insane" as anything I have ever heard.
@@MichaelGrubbEvolvedMinistry I do believe he means Compact vs Compact ... Taurus being around $200-300 and theSig being $600. Anything else is apples vs oranges.
Finally someone who’s a realist and not a gun snob .. all gun makers have great and not so great. Love my g2c carry everyday had the pt1111 always went bang
Dominic Molina the ones that are skeptical of the g2c because of the companies past dealings and their customer support. I myself have the g2c as a new gun owner did my research before I bought it. It works great for the price range and had extra money for ammo for under 300 bucks. Just take care of it and it’ll take care of you
I have one. 1500 rounds thru it. Steel case gave a few problems. Nothing too bad. Like this little gun. Front sight came off the other day at the range. First real issue.
@@lonetrader1 love the 809 just purchase the pt92 this is my third Taurus and love the PT111G2 had it for 5yr would love to upgrade but Granddad always say if it ain't broke don't fix it
I hope you appreciate a good value when your Taurus stovepipes and you catch a bullet in your groin. I used to think Kel-tec was the the chief of junk, until I traded in a p3AT (bought when it was the only .380 subcompact) which was unshootable and injured my hand, I was talked into a Taurus Spectrum. No room to describe its awful features, but it immediately dethroned Kel-tec from the Kingship of junk. I did not get it to feed a single round of any ammo. I am hoping the get rid of it soon and change good value for brand. Fortunately every other weapon I own is a "brand." Caveat emptor.
@@asaunders1406 That is just plain stupid and gun snobbery talking rright there. I have had KIMBERS STOVEPIPE AND FTE... LIKE SIG is 10000% reliable... GROW UP.
I had a $500+ budget for a “truck gun”. I must have a gun that feels right in my hand, and I will admit I have to like the way it looks. My only other criteria were I wanted a less than full size (hey, I got smaller hands), 9mm and the mag had to hold double digits of rounds. Went to a very well stocked gun shop and handled about 12 pistols the guy recommended based on my wants, almost all of them more expensive than the Taurus. The G2C was the one that hit the marks with the least checks in the compromise column. A few hundred rounds later and I’ve learned to like the trigger and have had no issues. At half my budget, I may just go buy a 2nd one. I really dig it
@Shek Jesus I have a VP9. I love it, I would have been just as happy with an M&P 9 or a Taurus 92. Gun is better than no gun. If all you can afford is a hi-point then it's better than nothing. Don't be a douche.
@@bammbamm2268 this guy is a wanna be,dont waste your time probably dont even own a gun! whats the problem with owning a good gun at a great value? as I posted above I own a lot of guns, handguns, revolvers, shotguns and rifles.my taurus is what lays next to my head at night,so i trust it with my and my familys life.ive never heard a bad guy ask,,,,,,what kinda gun did you shoot me with? I hope it was a sig sauer!! lmao we are lucky that in todays market we have so may choices as all weapons manufactuers have had to pick up their game and put out quality to compete in todays market. spend the 200 buy the taurus and use the extra 400 for some training and ammo and i promise, you will never have to worry about what letters are engraved on the side of your firearm
Its 2019, I have fired over 2500, never had a issue with my G2C. If you follow all the other videos on people who test this 9mm, you will see, they become to love it and its their go to conceal carry. It is such a fun gun to fire, not just for self defense, but also for plinking, practice. It has very solid utility and I have actually used it on tactical ranges in tactical maneuvers including urban combat senerios. It makes a good substitute fire arm for a possible combat situation. Its very rugged for the price. I have dropped it, loaded in my combat maneuvers, did not discharge, like a issue of prior Taurus firearms Combat training and range firing is much more vigorous than say plinking at some indoor range. It handled very well getting dirty like dust sand water, extreme cold and extreme temperatures, one good aspect is it cleans really easy, take down is simple( field strip) to clean in a hurry or a tactical condition - not like my M16 when in the Army- Most fire arms dont handle well with steel jacket ammo, so i sue only brass or aluminum. I did run steel jackets in my Taurus several times, I did notice some marring on the trigger safety, i used a light fiber tube to clearly see the barrel for cracks and stress in the barrel insides after 2500 no noticeable damage to the barrel or on the slide feed, but the trigger safety was marred, took to a gun smith, they replaced, but thats a pretty standard maintenance every gun owner should do...like oil your fire arm, after firing clean your weapon., if you take care of this G2C , you have a gem of fire arm. It 2019, most guys who have tested this had time to run many cartridges through, it has become their trusty go to .. and had some time so replacement parts are much more accessible and affordable. Not sure of other Taurus Models, but this G2C has become, in my option, the best model they have going for them , prior CEO in the company didnt know what they doing, but this new guy as CEO knows how to build a terrific fire arm. The price is still 269.00 USD, They sort of out done themselves cause this model, could be made a government issue for its durability, its accuracy right out of the box, no misfires (if using decent ammo and proper cleaning, like one is taught in the military) its a very good side arm ...and despite its short barrel being a conceal carry, its highly accurate, a very big surprise.
I'm on my third month of Taurus ownership and I can't believe I didn't switch earlier. Price, performance & Taurus is the antithesis of today's premium arms makers.
I work on firearms, I compete with them. I could carry any one I want. Most days, I'm wearing a G2C. Sometimes you just have to put price and status aside, and carry what's most functional, over what others think is cool. The Taurus nails it.
Did alot of research on the Glock 43, sig p365, and found out about the g2c on accident. After noticing the Glocks limited capacity and the p365s problems I went with the G2c and I couldn't be happier. The G2c shoots cheap, crap ammo like a champ and I'm making shot after shot hit right on top of shots like I'm fucking Robin hood splitting arrows. If my G2c cost me 450 I still would have paid it.
I work in a gun store, and I would definitely choose the G2C over the Sig, I have 2 of them with ZERO problems and they are a plesure to shoot 👍 P.S. class video with great comparison, well done sir.
Do you have any CZ's at your store? They cannot be found where I live, but I have a buddy who has the CZ-P10 and I've read a lot of good things about them.
@quixoticelixer lolololo I apologize,,,,, Im sure it was me who started it,,,,,, I don't hate you,,,,,, have a lovely evening. 🇮🇪🇺🇸👍,,,,,, search your self,,,,, you can be better ,,,,, we all can yeeh.
Agreed!...I have a glock 43, S&W Sheild, XDS and now the G2C. During my monthly range time I love shooting this gun more than the others. No issues, as this price point is just unbelievable.
John Robert I don’t disagree with you, BUT there is something to a solid report/track record. For all we know High Point could make a great gun next week and most of us wouldn’t know bc we’d never buy a high point lol.
The ONLY way to buy!!! AND the most logical!!! Guns are like everything else people buy: the majority go with what is imaged as the best brand, so they end up buying a brand or image - like the packaging around a product, without checking out the product itself. This is the essence of advertising: we tend to buy packages and not products.
Faced with the same choice, I went with the Taurus G2C. Added Lakeline parts (steel striker guide, steel guide rod, focal point night sights), Talon grips, and 2 18rd Mec-Gar SIG P226 mags with 3D printed grip extensions. All that and 2 holsters and I'm still below the cost of the P365.
I know I'm late, you posted this video 6 months ago, I must say you're on point for other reasons that I will state here. First off, I love my P365, I haven't had any issues with mine, I got mine in September of '18 and it's been flawless and yes, I'm a Sig Snob for sure. Here's the thing, if the shit were to hit the fan and I had to choose it would the G2C because there are more people with the Taurus than the Sig and there is a better chance of me finding parts for that than the Sig. Cost of course, and reliability. This update to a gun that's been thru 2 updates since the original model, and that says something. It's only gotten better over the years.
Had the G2C and sold it to a buddy . Great gun! I myself put over 600rds thru it before selling. Took it from box to range without a proper cleaning and oiling. It never missed a beat after 150rds. Took it home and put a Lakeland guiderod in it and polished the rails. Very very smooth action. Since than my buddy has put hundreds of rounds thru it without any probs.
I've shot the sig and I felt like it was a bit snappy. I bought a g2c new for $200 out the door. In it's stock configuration I shot a nice tight group at 10 yards. I have now added lakeline fiber optic sights and talon grips. I use it as my carry gun when I go fishing. I own a sig p320 compact and a few H&K pistols but I must say that little Taurus gets carried the most.
I own both of these guns and like them both for different reasons and different uses. The Sig fits in my pocket and the Taurus on my hip or ankle. I have about 1200 rounds through the Taurus and no issues. About half that through the Sig and also no issues. I have big hands and the Taurus fits much better, but i like having the Sig to easily conceal.
FINALLY! Someone tells the truth about Taurus. They are excellent guns at an excellent price.. I have a G2C and it has performed flawlessly. It is my 5th Taurus including revolvers, 1911s as well as Hand Cannons (44mag and 454 Casuel). The past is the past and Taurus are now making quality guns that don't break the bank.
Great Review, I bought the G2C after watching yours and many other videos on the taurus G2C and i have to say that i was very impressed when i took it to the range and fired. I shot incredible small groups that i have never shot with my Glock or S&W pistols. I was quite shocked that a budget friendly pistol like this could produce fantastic accuracy in my shooting ability. I handed it to my friend at the range and he too shot with great accuracy, we just looked at each other and said, who knew?, glad i made that purchase and its now on my EDC lineup, thanks for a honest review!
I own G2C and I absolutely love this gun and I’ve shot several different handguns and Taurus G2C definitely caught my attention. Not to mention the price for the G2C is a huge plus compared to other brands such as glocks and sigs.
Thanks for the great video, kind of surprised you didn't take a lot of heat for not picking the Sig. :) Please keep up the good work, I enjoy listening to people with open minds.
I appreciate this guy's honesty. I have both and the G2c is more pleasant to shoot and a lot easier to be accurate with. Haven't had any malfunctions at all, on the other hand the Sig failed to go into battery when I first got it even though I polished the rails and lubed it, had to slightly files the top of the barrel breach for the problem to go away. Also had to disassemble the mag release as it was super tight and sticky. The edges of the grip needed to be sanded with 220 grit as they bit into the grip hand. Never have I had to do this much to make a brand new gun acceptable.
I got my G2c a week ago and have put at least 200 rounds through it. I am getting good groupings with it and it feels great. I'm definitely happy with the purchase and would recommend it.
Great review/compare video. I got my 1st G2 almost 2 years ago and my 4th Taurus G2C one month ago. They all have interchangeable parts. These are the first small pistol 9mm guns I have and am very happy with them. The thing I am impressed with it the most is the "Loaded Bullet indicator" on top of the receiver. No need to press check the barrel. The magazine release is high enough to be very effective and is reversible. Best and only 9mm small handguns I have.
I own both of these guns and love them both. I've had my Taurus PT-111 G2 for a couple years, have put several thousand rounds through it and it performs flawlessly. I purchased an Alien Gear Shapeshifter holster for it and it has been my EDC for a while. My P-365 has a bit over 1,000 rounds though it and has also had zero issues. I have a Vedder Pocket Locker holster and literally carry this in my front pocket. It is a GREAT pocket carry gun and a great option for deep concealment. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these handguns. Obviously the price points are vastly different, my PT-111 was $199 while my P-365 was $529 but the much deeper concealment options while still retaining a high round count on the P-365 made it worth the price in my opinion.
Great point about deep concealment with good capacity! The 365 definitely does that. It's tough to beat the G2C price, however. Glad your Sig has been flawless. Great to hear success stories. Thank you and cheers!
Great comparison review! I have been waiting for more people to conduct what seems to me to be a natural comparison. Do you want a small, high-capacity CCW pistol? Here are your two options. Tiny, Sig made, and expensive vs. small, Taurus, with higher capacity but dramatically cheaper! The only down side of the Taurus I found was the odd, particular trigger dingus. It really takes some getting used to. Once you do however, the trigger is good, the package leaves nothing to be desired, and I LIKE a true safety. The Sig is just too small for my paws, I tried. I loved its concept. I was stoked from Shot Show. It was underwhelming with just how small the grip was and that the Taurus had made something less than half the price, same zip code as far as concealability, with more capacity, and managed to avoid the failure issues which plagued the 365. I ended up gettting the Taurus for my wife's vehicle gun. There is already an aftermarket for the pistol, which I took advantage of for my lady. In the end, I really feel that Sig got beat to the punch on this one. Who wants to spend more than double (I got my Taurus for $230 with shipping and transfer fee from Bud's) for a pistol that is only slightly lighter and smaller but gives up capacity and has had function issues?
Thank you King! I do agree that the trigger on the Taurus takes some getting used to but once you do... it’s quite good. After shooting several other guns for review, it was hard coming back to the Sig. It’s tiny, but like you said, the concept is great and I think other companies will be doing something similar. Cheers as always brother!
I love my G2C I will not sell it ever so far I'm happy to say it's one of the best guns out right now hands down. The special forces in Brazil use this pistol so in the USA it might seem cheap in price But your getting Brazil's best Mike drop.
I purchased both g2c models. Black and the stainless matted for under $500 out the door. I have over 1000 rounds through them with zero problems. 115 grain ammo and 124 grain get gobbled up with no misfires. I added a technaclip for cc Appendix and the g2c is a comfortable everyday carry. I would recommend this pistol to the first time owner because of all the safety features, trigger safety, long pull on trigger ( you know when you fire the weapon that it's your choice), plus easy access thumb safety. The second strike capability is smooth. I added an aftermarket laser to the picatinny rail which is great at the range.
I, myself just did choose the Taurus G2C... after the first 130 rounds of steel cased ammo without a single hickup, I’m a real fan. Great gun for the price!
Excellent video my friend. I just bought a G2 a couple weeks ago. I remember looking at it just cos it was on sale ($189.00 !!!) When I saw it was a Taurus, I told the dealer I'll take that one. I currently own 2 Taurus firearms but have had 5 in the past. All have exceeded my expectations. Same goes for the G2. If I could add something to your great video it would be this: the G2 is a defensive carry arm. As such, the long takeup trigger is designed to be so. No one (maybe B.Munden) wants a hair trigger on a defensive firearm. You're gonna be shaky and stressed out enough in a bad situation. I love the fact it has this trigger. If one wants a target trigger, buy a target pistol. I have only put 500 rods thru mine, but have had zero failures. Hell, if I were skilled enough, I could put a 5 gallon bucket 10 ft to my right and every spent case would land in it every time. Forget the insane low price of this jewel. The G2 is now my primary carry arm because if I need it to go "bang", it will... every time. Hats off to Taurus. This one's a keeper!
Thank you Mat! I do agree about not having a hair trigger on a defensive gun. My point was more the length of pull, but once you’re there, the break is awesome as is the reset. I do agree that it’s a keeper. Cheers!
Great video! I can't say I'm surpprised by the decision. I am just not convinced of the 365 yet. I want one so badly but I just can't get over the negative thoughts on it. Maybe the next gen will be better. I may have to give the Taurus a go! Good, informative video brother!
Thank you very much! I do agree that the next iteration will most likely be a step in the right direction. I recommend trying the G2C. Tough to go wrong for the cost! Cheers!
Been carrying the G2c everyday going on three years. The only 'mod' I did to mine was installed a steel guide rod and recoil spring from Lakeline Products. I don't shoot 5,000 rounds a month like a lot of people allege they do. I go to the range every couple weeks and put a few mags down range. I clean my gun after every range session. I check it on off weeks and give it a light cleaning or light lube, if needed. A little TLC is all the attention she needs. My wife has the G3c she uses for her home office defensive firearm. Thinking of getting a G2s and stashing it in our unattached garage.
It's me again. Bought my G2c two days ago and this video made me feel even better about my purchase. The G2c being compared to, of all firearms, a Sig? This is only the second time I've watched one of your reviews and being a Kansas (Wichita) man myself, has me hooked on your videos. Hickok45 had better watch out! Another great review. How do I subscribe?
Great to see you again William! The G2C is a great gun for sure. As for subscribing, just go to any of my videos and scroll down until you see subscribe and click it. Thank you and cheers!
I was one of the first in my area to get a G2C. In the weeks after i had a few of my friends that disliked Taurus shoot a few mags through it. They later bought and started carrying there own lol. For the price i feel its a great option for a ccw. Especially for a new carrier
Just so happened to see this video even though it's older video. Thank you did a very nice job of comparison and as one of the comment says it takes a lot to speak how you feel and the truth about a particular item or gun. That helps people make better choices. You don't always have to spend hundreds of dollars to get something that works well .. keep it up thanks for the insight
Thank you very much Zach! The G2C really is a good gun and at an attractive price. It means more can get into it and have some money left over for range time and ammo. Cheers brother!
My brother picked up a G2Ca few months ago, and I was impressed. For the money, I can't think of anything that really competes against it. If you can only afford a G2C, it's a fantastic option these days.
This was one of 3 videos that aided in my decision to purchase the G2C. I had held both at the shop and really preferred the feel of the Taurus. After researching (I was aware of the Taurus reputation), I couldn't find a real negative review on this firearm. The comments just drove it home. This is my first handgun. Now if only I could get ammo!
great choice! a police officer and nra ccw instructor I know put 7,000+ rounds through his g2c without cleaning before the gun failed. There's a video on youtube of someone making it to 10,000 in his torture test
KSGunGuy, You've got a great channel. I think you are fair and very informative about the weapons you choose to test. Plus, I definitely respect your willingness to treat the Tuarus fairly in comparison to a fan favorite brand like Sig. Keep up the good work and continued success. The most hypocritical response possible is that if a Taurus made a gun with as many problems as the Sig P365 or P320 all the critics would condemn it into oblivion yet they makes excuses for the SIg. I don't own either weapon so I am not defending a brand I favor but I recognize that the Sig needs work and the Taurus may be the best under $400.00 9mm on the market. It's definitely better than my S&W M&P Shield 9mm which I just sold to buy the Walther CCP M2.
I bought the Taurus PT111 Millennium G2, (G2C's predecessor), about three years ago for $199 plus tax. It shot so well and looked so good that two weeks later I bought another. For what the Sig costs, I could have bought a third Taurus and still paid less than what Sig wants for their not all that special gun. Taurus reliability issues disappeared with the advent of the G2.
I appreciate your honest opinion. At the end of the day it's always going to be up to the purchaser. However, it is nice to see or hear about testing and opinion from users. Good or bad! Thanks for the information and nicely done.
I can agree on the Taurus. I have a G2C & a 24/7 PRO 1ST GEN. I absolutely love both of them & have had "0" issues. Thanks for all the videos you share with us.
Just randomly came across this video. after watching, I'm happy with the choice to put a g2c 40s&w on layaway the other day. Sticker price for mine is $210.
Nice review. I got the Sig and have loved it for the past 700 rounds. I think you are hearing nearly 100% of the bad reports and less then 5% of the good reports about the Sig. regardless, you do a wonderful job. Keep it up.
A freind has a pt 1111 g2.... has trouble breaking gun down .when trying to pull down the release the barrel doesn't detach like it's supposed to.....suggs?
Nice comparision as we are going high and low here on the price spectrum which I dig....I really enjoy all these comparisons you do as very detailed and personal perspective that I can relate too so thanks....Good stuff...
how is the recoil in the G2C? i have a hard time with heavy recoil handguns after all the years in the service. im looking for a new carry option a .380 or 9mm that is easy on a shooters hands/wrist
Personally I like the G2c, it Is a kick butt pistol, I'd choose it over the Sig all day long, that was a nice video, I'm impressed that you chose the Taurus and that's all I have to say about that.
Gotta tell ya, I've had my P365 since the beginning. It was one of the first 2,000 produced. I have nearly 5,000 rounds through it (I go to the range often and usually put 200-300 rounds through it each time) and have had absolutely no issues whatsoever. Everything is perfect on this gun. The trigger is great, and the Xray-3 sights are phenomenal! It is a bit pricey, but it's made by Sig and the quality really shines through. It was my first CCW gun so I was okay with spending some extra money on something I won't be replacing for a long time. Being able to pull the trigger group out with one pin at the rear makes is a breeze to deep clean, which happens when you carry it every day. Overall a fantastic choice if you are willing to "bite the bullet" and spend some extra money. 😁 Hope that I bump into you at centerfire sometime. Would be cool to meet a legend in my eyes! Keep up the great work!👍
My Sig P365 was back for repairs twice before I got rid of it. My $199.95 Taurus G2C has been flawless. Sometimes we get what we pay for and sometimes far less!
my youngest son works at a gunstore/range here in OKC. They are a SIG dealer and have sold an ass load of 365s since last year. they are starting to see more than you would expect comebacks. my father always told me to beware of anything in its first year of production. i had steered away from the 365 for this very reason. i have a SIG P-250 SECOND GEN AND ITS A WONDERFUL FIREARM. I HELD OFF TILL THE ISSUES OF THE FIRST ONES WAS REMEDIED. I MAY DO THE SAME ON THE 365. I HAVE OWNED SEVERAL TAURUS FIREARMS DATING BACK TO THE EARLY 80S WHEN THEY WERE MANUFACTURED IN AN OLD SMITH AND WESSON FACTORY IN BRAZIL. THEY WERE EVERY BIT THE QUALITY AS SMITHS BACK THEN JUST NOT THE NAME. I EVEN PUT SMITH TRIGGER KITS IN THEM. I STILL LIKE TAURUS EVEN THO FRIENDS DERIDE ME FOR IT. BUT GIVEN MY ARAY OF FIREARMS I CONSIDER MYSELF VERY OPEN MINDED REGARDING BRANDS AND TYPES. I WONT LET STEREOTYPICAL THINKING CLOUD MY JUDGEMENT. ITS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL TO DECIDE, BUT FOR MY TWO CENTS WORTH AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME HAVING SHOT BOTH AND OWN A G2C I WOULD TAKE THE TAURUS. THATS NOT TO SAY THE SIG MIGHT NOT WIND UP IN MY VAULT ALSO AT SOME TIME SOON. JUST NOT RIGHT NOW.
I have to say this. Your "verdict", actually doesn't surprise me Other channels have come to the same conclusion! However, they did it in a "muffled voice", lol! Some gun guys on here arrived at the same answer to this almost with "regret"! Like, "geez, ya' mean I really have to be honest"? Hey, Taurus has a reputation of "you get a good one or a real lemon"! But, The PT111 G2 Millenium put them back into the game! Now, this G2C, just refined their largest selling pistol! With this in mind Ruger was watching a thinking we are missing out on a huge market, Budget Handguns? So they woke-up and introduced the Ruger Security 9. Neither will hurt the other due to customer preference on size of the gun. Sig, Glock, etc. all have a lemon or problems. Taurus has one more "Huge Hurdle" to overcome! Customer Service! Plus the Warranty on one year! But, (please fact check this) Glock has a "One Year Warranty"? Knowing a company will service your firearm regardless of when you bought it is a paramount issue for me buying a gun! My PT111 G2 is still covered for lifetime! Great review, great channel!
Taurus unfortunately has earned a less than stellar reputation. Thankfully, they seem to be turning things around. I’m excited to see what else they can do in the coming years. Very good point that all companies run into issues. It’s how they deal with them that matters. Thank you and cheers!
Glock only has the 1 year warranty.....but nobody ever bitches about that.....As they would when Taurus did so. I do believe Taurus went back to limited lifetime warranty, but only to original purchaser
@@KSGunGuy01 I just bought the TH9....never registered it though for warranty ....I never care to do that with any firearm. As never had a issue with firearms being problematic. And if they do break....nothing can't get taken care of by a local gunsmith.
I myself would choose the Taurus G2C. You just can't beat the price. The sig at 6 hundred dollar's, maaan I'll rather buy a Glock or CZ just to be confident an satisfied with my purchase..... Sig Nowaday's is just having to many issues with their firearms.
At the time of filming, they were generally hovering around $550 to $600. They may have dropped a little since then though locally, they are firmly at $599.
In March I paid $529.99 and that was when you couldn't find any, and it already had the XRay sights and improvements done. It's manufacture date 04 Feb 2018
As a gun enthusiast I check a lot of gun channels before buying a new gun and when posible I try the guns at my local range and your reviews are among my favorites (and respected) Thank you for another awesome review
the G2C all the way. I have had put roughly 700rds of various ammo, including cheap cheap cheap ammo with no failures. Sorry to say but the Sig 365 is WAY OP... (OVER PRICED)
I like so many of your videos, and I’ve seen where you’ve had problems with the P365. I have both and to me it’s not even close, the P365 is superior in almost every way. I had some feed issues initially with the P365 but no linger after the magazine was used for 100:rounds. The only knock I have on the P365 is the small grip, which I’ve supplemented with the hogue sleeve. Still hoping Sig releases larger grip modules.
Thanks for another really good comparison video. I'm finding that I'm 95 percent in agreement with you on the G2C. I actually went out and bought a second one the following weekend from the first one. And for what they were selling these for over the holiday weekend was just silly low. Rather than use any store name we'll just say it was a rather large store and it was Father's day weekend. But back to your post, it's very refreshing to see someone not judge a book by its cover, and actually give a firearm a chance to function or malfunction, perform well or poorly, etc. So thanks again. I mentioned in a previous comment on another video of yours, that a lot of folks seem to get hung up on that thumb safety, (no pun intended honestly), but unless it's getting in your way then just don't use it, if that's what someone's preference is. Also you mentioned the loaded chamber indicator, I think as a negative for you, in one of your videos I think this one or maybe more than one, but I don't have an issue with that either. The Sig SP2022 has a very similar indicator, (another firearm that in my estimation has been look down on poorly just based on initial price. Course they're not that cheap now, but when they first came out and they started talking about canceling manufacture, you could pick one up for nothing), sorry, but the Beretta 92 has a loaded chamber indicator on the extractor. The PPK has an indicator pin at the back. I don't have any issue with that either; even less than the thumb safety. Otherwise I am very curious to know if you have had an issue with it getting in your way. I haven't experienced an issue but that's not to say it can't happen. You've put a lot more rounds through yours than I have mine. Anyway thanks again for the comparison videos, I'm not through them all yet oh, but I'm working on em.
You made the right choice. I have a an older G2 and love it. I bought it as my yard work, getting caught in the rain, changing a tire in a bad neighborhood firearm. I’m seriously considering buying the new Gen G2 and tricking it out with Lake Line internals and night sights.
I bought the G2C because I couldn't afford the P365 and even though I love my gun my dream gun to own is still the SIG . But this video makes me wonder if it's worth saving up for the SIG and I just love the look, size & feel of it so I'm still going to get one.
I have both guns. I bought the Taurus for an insurance policy incase I need to send the sig back for repairs. I really like the Taurus. I paid $199.00 for mine.
I appreciate the long travel of the trigger for an off duty or civilian carry. It is a preference, does not mean that it is right or wrong, it is a preference. Also my opinion, "a pistol without a manual safety or grip safety is for work or professional business." A pistol with a manual safety would be for casual or civilian carry. IF I am working, a Glock is perfect. For pocket carry this Taurus is my preference. Boot carry would be for something like the Ruger or Kel tec .380's.
Iam a full size guy but that that Taurus at that price point is the best for that size firearm 🔫 If one is going to pay over 💲285 dollars for anything at that size you may want to go to the full size models !
A lot of support for your findings and you can add mine to the group. I really like the the G2C . I had the P 365 and never had an issue with it but i only had 200 rds through it prior to selling. Love these comparisons !!!!
Great review! I have a PT111, same as the G2, less the safety lock. Yes the trigger takes some training and getting used to. But once mastered, it's a dream to shoot. Plus the reset is the bomb!
WHAT! Ha ha. Considering you could get 2 G2Cs for the price of the Sig with money left for ammo, it's a good choice. As long as their reliable, most differences between similar pistols is down to aesthetics, ergos & price. Being this late in the year, I'm hoping someone is planning a P365 clone release from another manufacturer at SHOT, with an April delivery. I'd love to see a solid competitor to the P365 in the same size, w/o the problems. That small format is just too nice not to copy. And just about anyone will charge less for it. I'm looking at Ruger or S&W to pile on here dang it!
Frank, I 100% agree about other manufacturers doing their own version of the 365. That would be awesome! I think it will happen and the market will go nuts. S&W would be my candidate! Thank you and cheers brother!
hey frank i believe ruger has came out with it, double check me here the lc9? it one of the rugers i cant remember the exact # but it is about the same size as the 365 holds 10 and of course its a ruger aka a workhorse!
@@troytruong8246 mostly gunbroker.com (I never buy from them I just check them from time to time), but apparently everyone sells their guns way over priced on there. But yeah here locally (IF they’re in stock) the p365 is like at least $650 usuallt.
My brother just got his first handgun that was gifted to him for Christmas. It is the stainless model, we went to shoot it today and it ran awesome with the hollow points he is now carrying and also with fmj. I think it is a great gun and a price you cannot beat.
Have you seen any firing pin drag marks on your spent shells? I've seen videos where folks are saying that their P365 firing pins have broken off at the tip.
