Taurus - Is So Close To Being Poignant | Movie Review 

The cinematography is good & the music is good & the acting. I have to say though there is no story-there is a message but this is not a documentary delivering a message only. This is a fiction film. There is a premise-bottomed-out rock star. There is a trope - drugged-up burned-out rock star. There is a message- the music industry uses these people and spits them out. What you do to create a story is you take the premise and message and you put a plot to go with it. You take the character trope and create a fleshed-out character with some backstory as to how this happened to them. That is how you create a story. They made no attempt to create a story here. I say it's best to skip this one. There is really nothing there. Which is a shame, you have incredible cinematography, good music, good acting, good message, if it had an actual story it would be a good film.

I absolutely love this movie! it shows so much truth and vulnerability so many emotions throughout the whole movie

I’ve never heard of this but, it just seems like an alright film for a rainy day and you’ve ran out of stuff to watch.

You really FEEL this film through it…but I wanted more depth and character insight

That’s the real MGK some my not believe in zodiac signs but every fellow Taurus I’ve ever met are very similar to MGK who is also a Taurus. We may not all be drug addicted n rockstars but we all comfrom the same starting point, dealing with people can feel like chore and as much as people try to care for us bond with us and understand us, depending on our level of trauma it really has to be on our terms and people tend to over step our boundaries like everyone was doing to Cole from start to finish of the movie. We aren’t leaders but we aren’t followers ether and we can be very misunderstood bc we are very warm and light hearted but we don’t really give a fuck enough to care about how you feel wen we have been slighted. A Taurus is the authentic person that has to be fake to fit in bc the real sides of their personality causes a friction that intimidates others bc most people can’t handle our indifference as if they can’t just be satisfied with the moment, they have to have some sort of influence or control to be comfortable around us, and we hate that sht with a passion.

It was good but also sad

Yeap, it had potential. I was expecting 8'th Mile, but about someone, who's already successful, but ended up with a movie about nothing. The worst movie about musician so far. If I were asked what is a story, I would say:"IDK, the guy suffers, being parented and then dyes"

I loved your review & I respectfully disagree but I do see ur concern. I thought kells potrayed it good as it was not autobiography. He doesn't want to invite that deep into his personal life so that's why u might see it surface level as he wudnt wanna name the ppl in industry

The movie is raw. It's not made to fit any perfect standard of what a good piece of art means. You're reading too much into it. Just enjoy it. Don't try to find the meaning of everything.

I can’t believe it took this video for me to know MGK played Tommy Lee in “the Dirt.” Well, I’m just glad I finally found out…better late than never!!😅🎉❤

It felt like a fever dream the whole movie

This was what King of Staten Island was to Pete Davidson….a passion project that’s rides on being a biopic Which is ironic since Pete and mgk are cool

Amy wine house was wayyyy overrated& she didn’t get screwed by the music industry,she did that all herself….type wine house mice then you’ll see.

Reminded me more of now of days version of Kurt Cobain.

I think people just expect too much . People can’t appreciate the small things , I honestly thought the movie was amazing and shows the true stories what these people go through . People need to stop having high expectations. Negativity is the worst thing in this life . Yeah this was your opinion, but your opinion is still negative
