Already got my 3 free mags from the rebate. I appreciate the under promise, over deliver from a company I wasn’t sure about buying from. So far, so good with my TORO.
I got no mag with mine. Bought the 4.1" and it was supposed to come with a 1x16 mag + 1x22 round mag. Come to find out they're saying Maryland is a high capacity state or what not... I'm not completely thrown off but that's a sad case for me tbh.😢 😂😂
If you dont have a red dot yet, the TORO system takes Holosun K footprint optics. Palmetto has the 407k and 507k on sale right now with free shipping. I picked up the 507k for like 303$ shipped. I think the 407 is like 200ish.
Of course they come out with this just after I got the Gen1. Hopefully Taurus will also sell this as just the slide, like they do with the competition model. Swap the slide on your Gen1 and you're off to the races.
Well, Ruger is giving three extra 16 round mags with the gen 2 also.....5 mags, we'll done Ruger!! Family Firearms had this on sale for 238.00, might still have some....
Just got mine from local FFL today. And its just awesome. Great shooting pistol!! Shot iron sights most of the afternoon and finally installed the dot on it. Looking forward to getting it sighted in tomorrow. By the way. ran approx 400 rounds through it today without a single issue!! The hype is real! Its been a way better experience then I had with the Competition model.. Which took me a bit of time and work to find a round it would eat without issue. Thanks for the great reviews on this new offering from Taurus. Your one of the few out there showing off this Gen 2
Thanks for the comment! I now have 1700 rounds through mine! Besides the one round not going off and one lock back while I was shooting too fast, that's all I've had for issues. Oh, and I still haven't cleaned it.
@@9MilRidge Nice!! This weekend allowed me to stretch this new pewpew out. She runs like a raped ape! Accurate and a total blast to shoot! Threw 800ish rounds downrange and ZERO issues!! Literally, not a single FTF or ammo failure. Been running both 40G Blazer and 40G CCI minimags. This Gen2 is a night and day difference, compared to my TX22 Competition.. Which now runs near flawless. However the first couple thousand rounds had me cussing... alot! Stoked to continue running this Gen2. Thanks again for posting.. You have the best vids of this gun on YT!!
I think this is the new defacto training handgun, and it does double duty as an introduction to shooting handguns. Works great for someone on a tight budget as well!
I have the original and a TX22 COMPACT with a Riton red and a TX22 COMPETITION with a Holosun HS507C G and I love them all and can't wait for my local Sportsman Warehouse gets one in.
I owned a compact version about a year ago. Only one failure to fire in 1500 rounds. The gun just felt a little too small in the hand, so I sold it. Put full size gen 2 on layaway a few days ago and didn't even know about the rebate. It will be nice to be able to shoot more without spending as much money as I do on 45.
Well now this is a interesting video and a very interesting 22L or semi-auto pistol. I own the Taurus tx22 competition and just recently bought the new Taurus tx22 Toro. The reason that I bought the Taurus tx22s are because of their reliability and accuracy is very good. I personally shoot 22 pistols to save money and so I shoot the cheapest bulk ammo that I can find and I have never yet found anything that the Taurus tx22 lineup of pistols won't fire. So if you're looking for a good quality 22 pistol, that's a lot of fun and we'll shoot about any kind of ammo. You can't go wrong with a Taurus tx22 lineup.
Got the same set up with a FDE Holosun 407K 6moa and my 3 free mags came in 3 days. Range day today wirh a new Silencerco sparrow 22 supressor and it was flawless wirh cci subsonic. Only about 200 rounds but flawless Even packed with A 22 round mag and supressor the weight is light
i need: this gun for it is not a picky ammo eater, combined with the hammer fired design, aggressive look and grip from the sr22 plus the supervisible sights and the 25er mags from the p322. pls deliver to austriaaaaAAH😂 super video, thx4showing this cool gun. keep it up! 👍🏼
Thanks for your video. That new Winchester Expert ammo is a 42 grain bullet with a listed MV of 1320 FPS.which is unique in todays 22 lr market. Taurus tx 22 series is unique in the 22 lr semiauto pistol market. Affordable and high quality with a life time warranty is unbeatable. Taurus is taking over the 22 lr semi auto market. I wonder whats next....
i loved my TX competition until the slide cracked. never ran hot ammo and always took care of it. Taurus does have good customer service. i will be getting the T.O.R.O version asap...
Taurus TX22s are great pistols. I have many thousands of rounds through an original open sight model, and lots through a couple competition models with Delta Point Pro RDS. It looks like the RDS will sit a lot lower on the Gen 2 Competition. You WILL need to clean that gun, friend. Just because 22s are dirty. I shoot cheap bulk pack 22 mostly. Clean TX22s when they eventually get dirty enough to balk. Can’t ask more😎
My count sits only a bit over three hundred, gonna keep going with white box for now. Taurus processed my mag rebate very quickly. When I see the 22rd mags in stock at one of my favorite vendors, I’ll get a few more mags. All I really want on this pistol for now is a brighter front sight.
Great video. TY! Is there truly a difference in the new trigger? Pull weight? Internals? break? Does the Bull Barrel and/or new trigger seem more accurate? Love your videos!
I was wondering if you went to a shop and purchased this new Gen 2 off the shelf or if it was provided to you by the manufacturer and/or distributor for test and evaluation?
I got one the minute my LGS had them in stock. Great feel in the hand, great trigger but... It jams with FTF pretty often. It's really bad with the large magazine. All ammo types too. Not sure I will keep it. Cleaned the magazines and polished the feed ramp a little. Seems to be more apt to happen with lead nosed ammo.
I have both, fn 502 and a Taurus tx22 gen 2 , the fn 502 jammed all the time now at 500 rounds it seems to be working and shooting everything I run through it after several thorough cleans. I will say I like the Taurus tx22 gen 2 better no jamming so far and the triggers are where the difference really is the fn 502 has a long reset as where the Taurus has almost no reset it's that short .
i was set on the 502, joined a few groups, asked a few questions etc and was regularly told dont buy the 502, buy the tx22. so now waiting for lgs to get a gen 2 in stock
Is it actually a bull barrel? The Taurus website description has no mention of this, they do however mention that the TX22 Competition has a bull barrel.
@@HHHCustomknives it's running reliably still? I've had bad luck with my first 22 pistol and it totally turned me off of the cartridge. I just want someone that eats through ammo like the rest of my guns. Keep us posted
@@jijjr My Gen 2 is so Epic! Im currently between 4 and 5 thousand rounds through this new GEN 2 and its been FLAWLESS!! Literally it eats every ammo so far without fail. Aguila, Blazer, CCI. Not one Fail To Feed or any other issues.. Which speaks both to the reliability of the TX22 Gen2 as well as the ammo producers.. Its amazing.. I had some issues with the TX22 Competition model at first.. That one took me about 1000 rounds to break in and figure out what ammo it liked. Now I have over 13K through it and its running strong!! But still not as reliable as the Gen 2.. To sum it up. If your looking for a reliable 22lr handgun that is a blast to shoot, not ammo fussy and did I mention accurate and fun to shoot!?!?!? ;) ... Look no further. This IS the one!
@@HHHCustomknives Awesome! Thanks for all the info. The Gen 2 is going to be my next pistol unless I opt to purchase a Gen 2 Archon Type B because the Gen 1 recently purchased is phenomenal!
Thinking about getting a Tx 22, I just don’t know if I should get the full size or compact. I have a Holosun 407k just waiting to be installed. …Any suggestions?
@nhclayshooter Seems too short and thin, but maybe. Honestly, they probably have a new one in the works. I've reached out to taurus like five times, and crickets are all I get.
Darn- you got the green one- i am jealous. Mine should arrive Tuesday, but I ordered the black not knowing they had already released green! If it is anything like the newer compact, which i am guessing it is except for the better fully threaded barrel. Then it should be an absolute winner! Anyone seen any listings for the 22rd mags on their own yet? Would like to pick some up once they release them and before my stupid state decides to ban standard cap mags . . .
@@pandaman3457you are correct! Thank you, I found this out when I went to order mine. You can even see from the pics that some gen2's do not have the optics cut. Thank you!
@@9MilRidgeSafe to assume with any conversion kit the new guiderod/spring assembly will be included? I'm personally waiting for a conversion as I'd like to keep my non manual safety lower I have now.
