A wonderful memory thanks so much ... My father Sergeant Sidney Wise flew mostly Stirlings but my mother did mention flights in Lancaster’s as well. He trained in Canada and flew out of the Isle of Man and RAF Stradishall near Cambridge too ... I got this link from a post of the 75th New Zealand Squadron web site which I follow since my father died in a training accident at Stradishall on January 20th 1944 with his pilot “Tubby” Neilson DFC I believe flew with the 75th at one time and an Australian trainee and the rest of the crew bar one survivor (who ended up living in New Zealand).
