This is why we need to let go of the one drop rule. Apryl is not black, she’s mixed race. She needs to go and argue with her Asian family about why she’s not accepted by them, rather than argue with black women about being black.
That’s not how the one drop rule works. It is actually the opposite and was used by white people to filter out anybody that had a drop of black in them to claim purity of their race. We should claim all our people no matter how much African DNA is in their blood. And her being Mongolian she may have more African DNA in her blood and I have in my blood.
