Eastbourne obviously has by far the highest-quality grass courts on the ATP Tour. They had both ATP and WTA on the same court this week, and it still loooks way better than any ATP-only grass court (like Queen's, which looked atrocious this year, or Mallorca, which looked like a desert from day one). Only Wimbledon can compare (and I would say Eastbourne may be even better). All grass court tournaments should learn from Eastbourne.
@Bigobe244
@Bigobe244 2 года назад
probably just harder wearing grass species mix, doesn't mean its higher quality though.

Very hard to maintain grass in Spain where its so hot and lots more sun than England
@J.-M.
@J.-M. 2 года назад
@@Bigobe244 Well, it seems to be perfect in every aspect. Perfect medium speed, even surface, not many bad bounces, perfect playing conditions, unrivalled durability, perfect maintenance (see the mowing pattern), and yes, it looks stunning. Even after a week of playing two tournaments, ATP and WTA, it looks thousand times better than the Mallorca centre court before the tournament even started.
@J.-M.
@J.-M. 2 года назад
@@jcrisp90 If they can't maintain proper grass in Mallorca, they shouldn't do a grass court tournament. Simple as that. I wouldn't even call the surface in Mallorca grass, it was a sand court tournament (that's why Tsitsipas won). I mean, they don't do skiing championships on Mallorca either, do they?

@@kiklocus4660 Nah the other guys mentioned serve and volleyed more than Fed. Fed has what you'd call an all-court style where he's aggressive and likes to come in but is also totally comfortable hanging from the baseline. For those other guys listed, their number 1 priority each point was get to net. In that sense, Cressy's definitely a blast from the past

It's just the highlights and I haven't seen the full match but, looks like Cressy could make his game sharper, a lot of his slices bounce high and far from the baseline. If he could get more precise with those slices, I think he could get better results. And maybe use dropshots when he enters a rally, since he isn't favored for a baseline exchange, he could get to the net while playing a dropshot

Fritz is really looking in top form. Hard court surfaces are obviously his best, and I think he is going to be a threat to anybody heading into the summer season.
@abdouelmeknassi5914
@abdouelmeknassi5914 2 года назад
@Steevy84
@Steevy84 2 года назад
