All sound so good but hard to beat gs mini for the price!

The player is super chill and positive. You have to appreciate that spirit! Thanks for the demo.

Thanks to Daniel for the consistent play-through comparisons, and his comments on the differences he notes are welcome. (I'm a smaller guy, too.) Thanks to Aaron for his descriptions of each instrument, a great basis for understanding what to expect from each.

I love all three of these guitars but for different reasons the thing that stands out for me in the second model is the amount of bottom in the sound where the third one has a little bit more of a brighter town and a lot more mid range punch the sound

I love my GT Urban Ash, I'm thinking staying with that size and getting a GTe Mahogany. Taylor, Thank you!

I've had a Mahogany GS-mini for years. Love the Mahogany sound. Always wished they came with a 1 3/4 nut and solid wood. I'd get a GTe if I didn't already have my favorite guitar ever (and I've owned 11 Taylors), a Taylor 522-ce (all Mahogany) 12 fret.

I would have preferred Gte Mahogany with the ebony fretboard (like the gs mini) for better balance. The Gs Mini Mahogany is better and costs 1/3 less. The Gte Mahogany has only the ES2 good. But we all know that if Taylor reintroduced the Gs Mini Mahogany ES2 it would no longer sell anything in the slightly higher ranges.

They all did, indeed , have their own sound. The AD model seemed to disappear when fingerpicked. Still think the 324 models are the way to go, but price wise more in line with the GT. Good demo.

I was surprised at how much the AD, as you said, "disappeared" when fingerpicked. Otherwise, that was my favorite.

@@rhsilverberg Through my headphones, the projection was very weak , when finger picked, compared to the other two models. Just guessing, absent his playing style changing, that the AD needs more energy to vibrate the top given the compression from the hardwood. The smaller models need less energy. Always best to play it yourself to match up what you do to what the guitar can do. I still think, having played them, that 324 CE BE is a cut above these. I do like these head to heads for at least filtering possibilities.

@@rzh3443 The 324ce is a nicer guitar all around. Have not yet played any of the GT models. I'm on a several year hiatus from any new guitar buying. Considering selling an 814ce-LTD, actually. It doesn't get enough love.

I have the gte mahogany. And i love it. I’d like to ask what strings are mounted by the company, as i wanna put on the same one. I tried d’addario xs 80/20 12-53, but it’s too high for my taste and probably not too in line with the philosophy of this guitar

I've seen other demos, and the guitars didn't quite sound "hog-ish." Here they do. Very nice playing also. -- I was convinced I would go for the AD22 at first, but now the GTe Mahogany is sounding more like what I would want. I will have to hear them in person of course. Thanks!

I agree with you Donald. I was thinking the same thing about the AD22 and the GTe. I started out more interested in the AD22 but the GTe seems like a better body shape for me. I am like Daniel--I am a short guy and the AD22 seems a little too big for a compact guitar. They all sound so great--it makes it hard to choose.

I have gs mni mahogany. And now I'm going to buy a GTe mahogany. Thank you for this video. Great review. Because I was choosing between the AD27e and GTe. And now I'm completely sure which one I want)

For the comparison, were the pickups used? Seemed all cables plugged in with the piezo sound. Should compare raw sound without electronics

I don’t know if you can combine two more symbiotic tonewoods than Mahogany and Sapele.

I may have a lead ear but I don't hear a whole lot of difference on this video. I AM a Taylor Guitar fan and I own a 526e and a 322e, 12-fret.

Just bought the mahogany GTE. Love it. If there is one thing I want in an acoustic it's a smooth, mellow but articulate tone. I hate brash, bright sounding acoustics more than I can convey in words. Taylor are known for bright sounding guitars - so I never thought I would get on with one. But this is wonderful. For my money, this GTE mahogany has a sweeter tone than Martin's equivalent 00 15 series all-mahogany. This has a far nicer strummed voice. The Martin sounds scratchy by comparison and less well-balanced. For a small guitar it isn't boxy sounding at all but open and resonant. Another big bonus over the Martin (which I do like BTW) is its superior playability. It has a shorter scale, more rolled edges on the fretboard and the fretboard itself has a lower radius (i.e more curve). Would have preferred it without electronics, but that's no big deal. A winner if you are after playability and a rich, open voice in a small guitar.

It should've been better if you quit talking in between and keep on the review thoroughly. No hate, just an opinion. Nice review anyway. 👍🤝🤘
