In this episode everyone we install the gear plate on the Taylor RC 40 GT and we also take a look at the Blackbone 2SPEED And what I did to get mine installed and rolling nice
Great video man! And I can’t tell you how great you did on the explanation of how that two speed works that’s nice! Amazing great wrenching as well man!
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage I’m gonna build a 5t platform with the 40gt engine! This box is the 40gt with carb and clutch and all the bits and bobs for that. I wanted to have the heart in hand first, now I’m gonna get a roller. Might just build off of the Taylor chassis and go full tilt
Great wrench video Ben! I like the explanation on the two speed it is on point! Jersey Jason helped me out with mine at a race and he used a bolt similar to the one you used?
Any recommendations for a good reliable 2spd for the losi 5t platform? Just picked up a 30deg north truck and am trying to find companies that make a quality one
@@OggaDugga Yeah, I think it might work with risers. You won’t be able to use the middle section of the original 5B roll bar. The problem area is going to be the two pieces that slant back to the rear bumper gonna be tough to get it to clear the exhaust. My 40 GT was in my Baja with the FT Rovan cage, then, when I got the 71 supreme, I got that sand rail cage made out of metal.
I always use blue loctite and I always use it on my engine mount bolts, the 4 bolts that hold the 2 frames together, both rear bulkheads, the transmission, the gears, gear plate, and top plate. Basically all the rear fasteners 👍🏼
