As someone who just had her baby three weeks ago I cannot imagine filming the whole thing and then posting it. I had a 24 hour labor that then lead to an emergency C section, I was exhausted, burned out, and definitely not in the mood to be filming lol

Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. Your labor sounds very similar to my first experience. I had back labor from my due date and didn’t go to the hospital until two days later. Being my first pregnancy, I didn’t know what to expect and kept waiting for my contractions to be regular times apart, but they never were…5, 10, 20 mins apart. I didn’t sleep until I got my epidural and I progressed great but was so exhausted and pushed for hours with no baby moving down. I was relieved actually because I’m way less scared of surgery for some reason. I couldn’t imagine having a camera on at any point and don’t even have any pics until after my baby was born. A phone was the last thing on my mind!

I think that given what's come to light about family channels in recent years (8 passengers, Colleen ballinger and so on) it would be negligent for RU-vid to allow and as a business entity benefit from this form of child exploitation... If I had my entire childhood exploited for the Internet to see I'd probably seek damages from the website that allowed it to take place. Parents are responsible but RU-vid should now also acknowledge it's role in this monstrosity and put a stop to it.

Yeah, RU-vid can't be held accountable for everybody else's fucking actions. Unless they're allowing child porn to be posted. There's this little thing called freedom of speech that kinda gets in their way. If somebody's behavior is bad enough, youtube does step in, But you can't actually think it's logical for RU-vid to have more responsibility than a parent. That's just asinine

@@alyssahamlett I stand by my original comment. In California children that work in the entertainment industry are protected through legislation, however this does not apply to kids on RU-vid. Therefore, RU-vid is allowing child exploitation to take place on their site. Not asinine for me to believe kids should be protected when their parents are incapable of doing so.

Hahaha oh Josh you’re hilarious! 3/4 of my children were inductions. 1- placenta was ageing not working 2- 8 days over and baby was becoming stressed 4- uncontrolled diabetes and blood condition. But yes, unfortunately people going through private health care pick their dates for induction for selfish reasons 😅

She has a heart condition and the pregnancy is causing more episodes. They've increased her meds a couple times, but the doctors decided it was safest for Soph to get the baby out. She is 37 weeks so not really premature. But this is why she is being induced now.

I’m an RN and a hospital administrator. Our healthcare system has stopped allowing elective induced pregnancies for convenience for parents because it causes so many untoward consequences and can be bad for the baby. It should be done only if the baby or mother become compromised and are in danger. You are correct having a baby is a beautiful experience, but they are using the birth and the baby I’m sure for the cash it will bring them. Unfortunately this won’t stop until people stop watching or the social media venues discontinue these types of vlogs! Happy Thanksgiving all😊

They are from Georgia! lol I remember because I am too. Our accent down here is pretty thick. As far as induction, there usually has to be a medical reason. Soph has a heart condition, and I can’t remember all the details, but that’s why she was induced. You can also be induced if your baby is past a certain number of weeks. I love how much you love your wife & you always say the sweetest things about her. My mom is a nurse too & they are the best!

Normally I am a huge advocate for waiting for labor to start naturally, even when past the guess date. However, she has a heart condition and it was getting very scary - she was blacking out and having episodes closer together. Her cardiologist is the one who advocated her them to have the baby early. Hopefully she can have the surgery she wanted to before she got prehnant snd then have a different labor experience next time. I did have an unmedicated birth center birth that I loved. I can't imagine spending days in a hospital. We were at the center less than 4 total hours!

I had to have a scheduled c section due to placenta previa, which meant i knew the day my daughter would be born 3 weeks in advance. It would have been nice to have a spontaneous labour but it was also nice to plan everything ahead 😂

You are absolutely allowed to film a delivery. it's been a normal thing since way before RU-vid, the medical staff will even let you know when you should start so you don't miss it! I had a sister born in 1990, and the nurses were shocked that my dad declined to videotape the birth!

I was induced with my first due to complications ( 48 hrs later my daughter was born) & my daughter was induced twice due to complications. They may even induce if you’re past your due date. They would give her the epidural early if they’re using a balloon to break her water, and I only know this because my daughter had it done.

Hi Josh! I needed to induce labor because I was already 42 weeks pregnant and it is at least where I live, this is the maximum time the doctors wait for the baby to come naturally. After 42 weeks they consider it a risk to wait.

Me and my baby both had medical reasons to induce. And it wasn't planned at all I was told at the doc office that morning to go in that night. And had to be monitored in hospital and going through those intense pitocin contractions I wouldn't have wanted to be home. The nurses assisted the entire time by helping me go into different positions and offering emotional support too. It was hard but necessary in my situation. Idk why these people induced lol but for lots of women with high risk pregnancies sometimes it is necessary because it's not safe for mom or baby to remain pregnant.

Fun fact......inductions don't always work. Personal experience......he was a week late and I went in to be induced. Spent all day and never progressed so I was sent home. I cried all the way home. My poor hubby!!!

I have sooo much ick with this one. 1. Why was she induced if clearly she wasn’t ready. 2. So sad that this baby will be an adult and literally everyone her employers her boyfriends her friends will see her literally come out of her mother’s vagina. 3. Hospitals don't allow you to eat for up to 36 hours, and then do an emergency c section because the baby is in distress or mom got a fever. Insane!! Maybe it's only in the US, but that's why it's important to pack your own snacks and energy drinks. A mom needs energy to push out her child.

If you're overdue the doctor may choose to induce you. My first child I was nearly 2 weeks over so I was induced. Also, ALWAYS wear pdf, doesn't matter if the sun's not out, specially if there's snow.

I literally called them out in the vlog before this (never played the video though) and one of their fans said it's their choice and if the child objects they can consent later and I said it was a breach of the child's international human rights citing the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child Article 32. My first attempt got deleted when I mentioned DCP and tried again but didn't check to see if it got deleted.

I was induced for medical reasons (preeclampsia which basically means the placenta is dying before baby is born and things can go south quick) and it’s not fun at all. As soon as I was induced I couldn’t walk or eat until after I had my baby. You get checked a million and a half times and it’s uncomfortable every time. But some people elect to induce simply because they don’t want to be pregnant anymore.

I was induced because I was almost 2 weeks past my due date and not showing signs of progressing. They induced me, broke my water, and I still wouldn't dilate. Thus resulting in an emergency c-section. I believe there are probably a few different reasons for having to be induced. Idk if it is optional though. Inducing isn't a preferred thing. The medicine given to induce is particularly stressful (and sometimes dangerous) on the baby (can be for mom too). That is also why you must stay in hospital while being induced. They have to keep very close eye on baby and mom.

I was 42 weeks and my doctor was persistent on inducing,I refused. The day before I was going to "schedule" my induction my daughter was born. I had a failed induction with my first child at be 34 weeks due to preeclampsia resulting in an emergency C-section and I know second time around I didn't want another one 😅

Medical reasons to induce are most commonly mom’s very high BP, infection in the amniotic fluid or if the baby stops growing and they think something might be wrong. Contrary to popular belief, a suspected big baby isn’t a good reason to induce because their estimations are usually wrong by up to 2 pounds and the mom’s pelvis is designed to change shape to let the baby move through.

I was induced with both my children due to complications. Although it was clear when I was induced, both babies were ready. My first was born in a quick 2.5 hours and with my second, my water broke in the hospital before I was able to be induced and born in 3 hours.😅 If it’s medically safe to not be induced, it’s definitely the best way to go. It doesn’t seem like she has had any complications because I’m sure they would’ve capitalised on it!

I think Vaseline petroleum jelly will work great for the wind burn. Its been my saving grace for this colder weather 👍🏼

I was induced with my 3rd he was 2 weeks past his due date. Im a high risk pregnancy as it is being a epileptic. So they scheduled a induction im grateful for it as it was he was 9 lbs at birth.

Induction is usually scheduled by the dr because the mom is a week overdue. Some drs don’t like you going more than a week past your due date. I was scheduled for an induction with my first. They gave me cytotek as well. When she says ‘softens’ it means it’s softening the cervix to get her body to the point of dilating (the size your cervix needs to be) so she can have the baby. If your cervix is not softened, you won’t go into labor.
