It really surprises me like why so many universities are providing honorary doctorate degree? The person who received the degree- does that person knows how hard to get qualified to be a doctorate degree holder ? I am always opposed this approach!! It needs to change !

She is amazing and so successful! That cannot be disputed. However, a doctorate was not earned. Many, like myself, have worked tirelessly through years of courses to earn our credentials. And as a woman in social work, I wish my work could earn me the title of doctor.
I don't mind as long as this "honorary degree" holds only sentimental value but contrary to that it's a spit in the face of all who strive to obtain a PhD
This is wrong, people work so hard for their degrees, attending classes for years, research, writing, editing, publishing, and a constant feeling of imposter syndrome to complete their dissertation. She has earned amazing awards that she deserved, but she did not earn this degree. This is bs and I am disgusted by this school obtaining publicity in this way.
