JB saw scooter as a father figure bc his actual dad is a piece of shit and his mother was neglectful (still unavailable). In a way, it’s basically like a trauma bond that Justin had to scooter. Scooter showed him more attention that either of his parents and that’s why he believed that he should take scooters side. It’s wrong of course but it explains why he felt the need to defend scooter even when scooter was in the wrong.

Technically Scooter Braun didn't stolen Taylor Swift music. He just brought the record label Big Machine that Taylor Swift left years ago. If anyone to blame for Taylor Swift not owning her own master is Scott Borchetta the original owner of Big Machine, her dad who profit from the sales of Big Machine and her masters albums and herself turning down her master album when offered being sold to her by Scooter Braun himself. She literally abandoned her masters albums on her own free will.

Taylor Swift owns the music composition of her albums which gave her the rights to rerecord she doesn't own the studio recording of the albums but still gets royalties. I don't think Justin Bieber will even get the rights to rerecord because it's technically not his songs.

This. Truly talented artists who actually write, compose and perform their music should always have had the rights from the beginning. Bc at that point your artist is self sustaining. You don’t really have to do much to get them going. All you need is a studio, producers and engineers. But in all technicality you don’t need a label to record music. But in Justin and a lot of other artists cases, all they have to offer is a voice and a face. So the record label is necessary and they have to use so much of their own resources to get the artist going. They need song writers, composers for beats, musicians to play the background, possibly background singers, so at that point…. Who’s music is it really? I think after a certain amount of time and success though it should return to the artist bc at that point it really is the artist who has carried everyone for so long. It’s their physical and mental sacrifice that has earned the rights to their music.

Well the difference between Taylor's case and Justin case is completely different. Scooter Braun was Justin's manager since he was a teenager. Scooter never betrayed Taylor because he was just some guy who bought Taylor Swift old record label after she left that record label. You don't have a say in a record label's ownership decision especially after you left the record label. She abandoned her masters after she left Big Machine and never considered making an offer to the new owner. Publicly complain the record label you don't own is being sold to someone you don't like is like such entitled attitude. She owns the music composition of her albums meaning she owns her music. She just doesn't own the studio recording of the albums. Why else she could rerecord? Scooter Braun even tried to selling her masters to her but she didn't want to pay for it or sign a disclosed agreement as well. She literally abandoned her masters album. Taylor left Big Machine exactly because the original founder/owner of the label Scott Borchetta -- who had asked Taylor to be his label's main artist before he even found the label and worked with Taylor for years -- would not agree to sell the Taylor's old masters back to her and would rather sell the label along with her old masters to 🛴 -- someone Taylor already had issues with and Taylor specifically asked Scott on multiple occasions(according to Taylor's statement) not to sell the label to -- unless she continue to sign with the label and work under 🛴. Justine had posted a screenshot of him video chatting with 🛴 on instagram after the 2016 incident(which I won't go in details about), but basically this is what Taylor called 🛴 bullying her. After Taylor putting out a statement explaining what had happened to her old masters in the summer of 2019, Justine came out and defended 🛴 and took all the blame to himself publicly. This is what this video calls the Karma (which is also the title of a Taylor Swift song).

​@@IssabellaPerezCruzno he cannot, songs are typically own by record labels that published them not by the artist who performed them. once an artist leaves it record label hes catalog stays there under the name of fair share holder which is scooter not justin. to compare Justin case with Taylor Justin's are a little hard and risky to re-record and release as for justin isn't primarily the songwriter or the producer of hes catalog (sure he has written has melody) but not 70% which is what the judge are in favor for in order for him to re-record. plus taylor swift "Taylor Versions" aren't considered as cover they are new tracks with publishing and copyright infringements just like her stolen catalog so they are different from each other law wise.

If anything, Justin Bieber got famous bc Taylor invited him to be the opener on the Fearless tour. JB should have thanked Taylor but instead did the opposite. #Karma
