As a volleyball coach I have taught so many young women & men how to serve like Samantha Bricio. The Hybrid Jump Serve is responsible for more aces annually than any other serve - by far. In 2019 Hollann Hans lead the SEC with the Hybrid & Logan Eggleston lead the Big 12 with the hybrid. I'm always surprised when coaches want to create a Statistical Advantage over the opposition & yet do not take the time to teach the hybrid jump serve to their players. I always have players serve Zone 1 & 5 to the Outside Shoulder as those areas are statistically the most difficult areas for players to pass from, primarily because they are moving away from the court. This serve creates aces & also routinely gets teams Out of System. We also know that only 20% of points are scored when teams are Out of System. So the hybrid jump serve is an absolute must if you want to dominate the competition from behind the service line. Someone asked Luka Slabe, Gold Medal assistant coach for the USA Women's National Team what his thoughts were on the hybrid jump serve. He said that in his mind the hybrid is the most difficult serve to Read, Track & Pass in the game of volleyball. That only confirmed what I already knew. If you coach volleyball, teach the hybrid serve to your team. Give them the BEST SERVE in volleyball & set your team up for ultimate success.

Some people think that mexican athletes that succeed abroad deserve more attention in Mexico, but usually that means that they have a spotlight given by the two main tv networks here in Mexico: Televisa and TV Azteca. These two networks are specialists in filling athletes heads with hot air, and after their sports career ends, these athletes are so popular that they postulate for government spots. They become corrupted and their wonderful career just end with them being stupid in politics. I wish that this were not be the case with Samantha. Que viva Samantha!!
