Just my opinion but...... This is the everything black man! He is before and beyond his time! There are no word's to describe this incredible man! 👋👋👋👋👋
He isn't before his time, I think he is behind his time, imagine him in the 1970's? it would be perfect, 1990's wasn't his style anymore, it was the Hip Hop comedy generation, like Martin, Chris Tucker or Fresh Prince ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3Kh8xgNHhIQ.html
I'm glad that Comedy Hype is interview TC Carson. Yes, he needs more experience, but at least he's interviewing one of the greats and respecting him and taking him seriously. This is one of the most insightful interviews I have seen from TC Carson. Thank you Comedy Hype.
He paved the way for Jamie Foxx. Being a comedic actor AND crooner was a hard crossover. Even queen Latifah had a hard time but she was already an artist before acting. Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell were also great singers and comedic actresses.
Eddie Murphy has had a solid music career, even as a comedian. Even more than Jamie Foxx. Eddie Murphy was a bonafide comic talent and actor who then released "Party All The Time" at the height of his fame, even reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985-86. Also he put out some very good and versatile singles with Michael Jackson and "Red Light" with Snoop Lion (Snoop Dogg), during his reggae project. He's not super acclaimed but he still frequently records music.
M j G I am aware of Eddie Murphy’s songs but I would not consider him vocally talented like the aforementioned actors. Also my use of “crooner” denotes more of a vocalist as opposed to a pop singer (as I would classify Eddie).
I don't think he paved the way for Jamie Foxx who was a real comedian and character actor, that show In Living Color showed the world how talented the whole cast was ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3Kh8xgNHhIQ.html
@@mjg239: Eddie was never that good of a singer--he was just cashing in on his fame at the time with that side music thing. I did like party all the time.
Was there a mandate sent from God that all black families had to clean up while listening to music?? 😂 I swear my house and our whole neighborhood was jammin on Saturday mornings 😂
I so appreciate the interviewer presenting the question and then allowing his guest to speak without interrupting before engaging again with relevant follow up. Listening to him and Mr. Carson was so engaging.
After Saturday morning clean up =Soul Train. After Sunday morning Church=Kung fu movies. Aye, Al Jarough ,Bobby Mcfaerren and KEM is bumpin in the truck 2020...you ain't heard a voice marinating with instruments until you heard these guys😵😳Krispy Kreme Loud😁😇🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of the best shows on in livin single was him singing to max my funny valentines your looks are laughableee and singing at the wedding with Khadijah fire fire.
TC was very patient with this young interviewer who mispronounces words and doesn't have the best handle on the English language and doesn't get old school cultural references or idioms. You're doing it though. Bless your heart. 😊
I totally agree with what you’re saying regarding the “young interviewer” , I was surprised he’d not heard of the musical ‘Hair’ and the song Aquarius. 😮 It’s constantly being revived.
@@HOGOSHA94 he was the original voice for kratos in the god of war games, but the game studio recasted him in the most recent one that came out on the ps4 without letting him know
Makes sense why they recasted him it was an older kratos and his voice still sounds youthful , I’m sure he could’ve did it tho. They shoulda told bruh tho
A true Renaissance Man and such a class act! I truly hope that this interview will cause doors to open for him both in music and on television because we need his talent in this generation.
Funny because I think that’s the same experience for almost all black people of a certain age. Saturday morning you had to be up out of bed and cleaning with the Old School music playing .
I was just thinking the same thing. I wonder why so many of us share that experience. Is it something that grew from slavery but changed as the culture changed. I loved Saturday cleanings. It was good family time for everyone!
ChiTown stand up! TC!! the city of wind see you bro. Keep ya head up. It's not over. We have Directors, writers, producers, film studios in 2020 like never before. Put your name back in the hat. Let them know you still out there and ready to perform.
You are correct! I didn't want to be the one to say it! I'm 44 years old and I knew what "Aquarius" was, by the time I was 9! Someone please, Culture this young man!
@ Jamal S. He didn't do his research. No excuse these days not to use Google or any search engine to look up people. We need our old school teachers back in the classroom.
For real.. I was embarrassed for him. He said that he'd done his research, but when he asked T.C. whether one of his musical influences was "Gil Scott Heron" but he pronounced "Gil" as "Jill"..cringe worthy as far as interviewing skills go..
@CALICOTV301 , it's not about birthing him sooner. It's about an interviewer in the entertainment field who doesn't know the classics or an iconic musical.
@Jamal...👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 He didn't know "Hairspray" either and that was done more recently as a remake on tv with Queen Latifa and john travolta. This guy REALLY needs to either study the craft of interviewing OR hire someone who has/is studying til his skills improves. TC gives him some great gems and his f/up questions fall beyond flat. You are interviewing this Heavyweight with lightweight skills.
T.C.'s the bomb !! That voice is AMAZING !!! It was many, many years ago our Choir (LACC)backed he and Cee Cee Winans up on the show with " He Will Never Fail You ) and again at a gospel concert in Inglewood. He's very real and not stuck on himself. Hey Dude, come visit us over at Atherton BC in Hawthorne. I promise that no one will ask you to sign their Bible. (Smile)Yes I remember that story you told us. God bless.
His 'Urban Suites' show was definitely ahead of time cos look at all those design shows that became popular later on HGTV. A smooth innovator as always...❤
When He Sang that My Funny Valentine he OMG The Goose Bumps POPPED and they are Popping up this minute....I Love It💗 You can tell the interviewer is very young ...its cute listening to them I Love It💗💗💗
this spoke volumes, really needed to see this today. I go through that now putting my music on the back burner because i'm successful in another field and people keep getting onto me about it. thank you!
I wish TC Carson the best. He deserve it. He has a wonderful voice. I've heard him sing, he's good. When he sung on living single, you could tell, hear how clear his voice was.stay strong and positive TC. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita James. ✌🕯💜🦋🌠🌻🧘♀️🙏🙂👋.
Yes, yes, yes TC! I felt you and recognized your influences from day 1. Yes Saturday morning? Yes!!! I understand everything you are sharing! Thank you! I thank the young man for humbly admitting he was a little lost yet open to learn. He is so respectful in his interviews. I’m so happy to be our age! We pull from such artistic wealth!❤️
I really wished the interviewer asked him more about his time on God of War for 10+ years, being Kratos and how he felt about his exit. Happened to another great voice actor named David Hayter who got replaced by Kiefer Sutherland for the iconic voice role of Snake in Metal Gear Solid (a move that is still divisive and ironically, the game in which he was replaced was not well received), so its not an uncommon thing but still messed up on so many levels so I would love to hear how he has dealt with it. He truly personified God of War for many years and despite Christopher Judge's incfedible performance, T. Carson still embodies who Kratos truly is.
I love his voice very mesmerizing I listen to Truth all the time warm is the rain is one of my favorites he is still very handsome such a classy guy true to he is
TC has a GREAT voice. I was debating about this after part 2. THAT episode is classic. I would LOVE a jazz album from him. 💖 Typed this before they discussed his projects. Going to definitely listen!
TC is one of the greatest singers. When I heard him sing all those years ago on Living Single. I thought he reminded me of the lead in EW&F and Al Jaroy
Kyle and Maxine were my favorite characters on Living Single...I am 47 yrs old and have 3 girls ages 23, 22 and 19 and we watch every episode on HULU...they love the show...thank you TC for your effort in bringing a spirit of black excellence to the screen.
It was a great Album (T C Carson "The Truth" )..took me awhile to find it -- but it a Good effort DEFINITELY worth a listening to or playing at casual social gatherings where u would Jazz / lounge music
Ella Fitzgerald! My brother, that’s what I heard you pull from when you were singing, funny Valentines, your vocal gold pipes! I have nothing but the deep disrespect for you like I said before in my other comments on the other interviews did you did, stay strong, my brother and I’m glad you still getting paid for the royalties from living single and we continue to watch him respect for you because you are a class Act! and I also heard Nat King Cole with that soulful voice, inviting sultry voice but when you sing, you go back to the old school . Your voice is an instrument, smooth. I understood the term the gardening tube when you plow using the hole it’s a gardening too. You break up the ground so you can plant your seed young people don’t understand that term but I got you my brother I understood the first time you said it but platinum senior citizen i’m proud ✊🏾of it 🏫 😅😅🥰👩🏾🦲😍
Dang, the CH comment section is rough. Y'all are like the audience at amateur night at the Apollo. 😄 I didn't realize that there were so many 'older' folks watching this channel. Go easy on the guy, he's a very respectful & gracious interviewer - especially compared to some of the more sensationalizing interviewers that are around now. His cultural/historical knowledge is actually better than typical, as far as the current younger generations are concerned. They are very much focused in 'their time.' At least he was respectful & open minded to understanding. A lot of the youngheads, now, couldnt care less about anything that happened before they were born. Check out the comments on anything that was brought back into the spotlight & u will see that. A lot of them are genuinely surprised that anything worth paying any attention to, ever happened more than 15 years ago. And even then, it's only noteworthy bc of the current video game or TV show association. A few months ago, I remember reading comments under old SNL skits, saying that they didn't know that Eddie Murphy used to be a cast member. There is always been the 'generational gap' deal but it's at a whole 'nother level in the digital era. Short attention spans & serious tunnel vision. Actually, they are pretty narcissistic, collectively speaking. But, then, ppl should also realize that the current younger gens were intentionally, socially conditioned towards being this way. Its not an accident, by any means. Cut him some slack, I think that he's doing alright, as long as CH doesn't become like u know who. 🧛♂️😄
Thats a good point ....i never thought of that. Going from singing to acting is alot easier than going from acting to singing. Infact can you think of any major actor who who started a successful singing career? Eddie murphy, Ralph Carter tried it, and many others without much success
