Henning, love your vids. Which budget phaser do you recommend? And are there any cheap multi modulation pedals worth buying? Ps. Love your videoes. Keep up the good work.
Man, your video is simply excellent. U made it happen, as well for beginners as for advanced guitar players like me. You intoduced it by playin your own stuff, then explained the Helix "beast" from knobs and their functions, the modes of the pedal (vintage/smooth/TonePrint), demoed both of mono and stereo modes. You added what others didn't do until now, some point of humor in this video. Another reason why I liked and subscirbed to it. People like u would make that more often. It's so boring to watch a guy, using the same kind of vocal tone, without any "dynamics" in the presentation of a product (specially those dedicated for guitars). Anyways, everyone got his own way to make it. I love yours, don't change ANYTHING at all. Keep it up ;) Cheers from Belgium
Been thinking of getting this but I am concerned about the quality of the switch. Lots of stories online about these breaking within months (whole line of pedals). How worried should I be? Should they be avoided?
Didn't know you had a twin. Kool. But tell him to change his shirt so we can tell you apart. You are a part. Ja? Got da Decco and now I'ma gonna get de Helix. Danke for da delightful demo.
I take the MXR used for $30 U.S. but yeah the Tone print stuff is great. I so rarely use Phaser & even then just a pinch the MXR wins for simplicity esp in live situations. In the Studio I love tweakability so the TC would be great.
Henning i am a big noob of music. pleas tell me where to put a phaser in my pedals chain? before or after distorsions? sometimes i see phasers before distorsions, sometimes after. what's the difference?
can you review this pedal paired with Brian May’s guitar? It would be very interesting !!! Because this pedal is very similar in sound to the old Fox phaser)))
The MXR was clearly smoother in the first simple test that you did. And, for me, all of the bells and whistles of the TCE are nice and everything, but are just a waste. However, I really dig the TCE Corona Chorus as a really good alternative to a phase effect.
Helix four knobs, full possibility but sounds cold and digital.(tone print it's gadget) MXR (CSP026 74 Vintage) one knob, little possibility but sound very organic and authentic. MXR is very very better for the ears !
I've AB'd mine with my 1978 EHX Small Stone. It's replaced the Small Stone on my board as I can duplicate the sound with the right tweaks but I got more, a whole lot more. Let's boogie.
