The Nutcracker is a two-act ballet, with a score by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Tchaikovsky made a selection of eight of the numbers from the ballet, forming The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a, intended for concert performance. The Nutcracker Suite should not be mistaken for the complete ballet. The outline below represents the selection and sequence of the Nutcracker Suite culled by the composer.
I. Miniature Overture 0:00
II. Danses caractéristiques
--a. Marche 3:29
--b. Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy 5:59
--c. Russian Dance (Trepak) 7:47
--d. Arabian Dance 8:58
--e. Chinese Dance 12:04
--f. Reed-Flutes 13:05
III. Waltz of the Flowers 15:15

@@murphyjacob6759 Do not use adblock. It may seem like a good solution for avoiding ads now, but because of adblocks youtube and other websites doesn't earn enough money form their ads. Therefore more and more sites will transition to a subscription based service, and maybe youtube will too. They have allready begun using two ads in a row to get the most out of their ads, and they are offering a paid service without ads, and if we continue to use adblocks, maybe all of youtube will be accesable only to paying users.

I am going to be the annoying person here and mention that Tchaikovsky was actually from the Romantic Period (One of my favourites). Although this music may sound quite similar to Classical, it has a lot more emotion (created by dynamic changes etc.) which is what helps make it so interesting. So there's a bit of music history for you all, and again, sorry for getting all technical.
@LittlxxPuDDing

Tchaikovsky was decently satisfied with the music, otherwise he wouldn’t have allowed it to be used in the ballet. The show itself was not successful when it was first premiered. That’s why he chose several pieces from it to preserve for the future. That’s known now as The Nutcracker Suite.

I love Tchaikovsky's music so much, he is my favorite composer. I am not very knowledgeble in classical music but I know he has the reputation of being one if not the best melodist and I think this is the best example: of the eight parts listed in the description, 5 of them are very recognasiable and iconic to me. If I had to choose one word to describe he music I would choose fantasy because it's the first music I listened to that gives me escapism the same way books and tv shows do. His music transport me to a fantasy. Even though in my family we never had very happy christmas, the Nutcracker Suite reminds me of memories i never had of christmas. Also at first I didn't like this part: 18:41 but know it's my favorite part it immerses me in a different world (I especially like it in another recording)

Tchaikovsky was a Genius and I think will be remembered for all time. His music is so iconic and recognisable even if people don't know it is his work. Of course to me the Nutcracker Suite just makes Christmas that much more special. He had more than any composer I think the ability to make his music sound mystical and almost like listening to magic spells at work or churning in a cauldron.

I remember I used to go see The Nutcracker every year it came. I was always blown away from how magical it felt. Everytime I hear these pieces I can still feel that feeling of pure amazement no matter how many times I had seen the ballet. This ballet will always be apart of me and I will always appreciate it.

I hate/like anime profile pictures because they make me feel nostalgic because I remember in 2018 I used to play osu and these types of profiles give me such a big feeling of nostalgia for some reason
