I’ve had my tcl flip 2 for almost a month and tbh I don’t regret it. I got it cuz I don’t like social media and it took time away from my kids so I got a flip phone lol. It’s easy for me to use browser and stuff. Takes time but it’s convenient still. And I only charge it like once every 2-3 days maybe. I use emails daily…text and call daily…go on browser to view weather and go onto RU-vid and RU-vid music…I use camera a lot…I decorated my phone with camo tape lol and have a pop socket on it. It’s honestly a good phone. I do agree the pic quality is terrible but I edit them 😅. I do wish that they put more options for editing like your Lock Screen and stuff. I have a pin to unlock it but I’d like to edit the clock and stuff. I just know I don’t regret switching. Now I spend more time with my kids and yet still connecting with people. Thanks for this review!
@@ok-carI absolutely love it. I’ve gotten so fast on typing it’s just normal for me lol. I do have an iPad but that’s legit for reading books and watching movies 😂. Some people find me so dumb for eliminating social media and I’m not sure why when it’s made my mental health so much better. I like how you decorated yours! Really cute!
Just got the one she has in this video yesterday. Originally I wanted the Nokia 2760 because it had minimal smart features like google maps. Walmart didn’t have one but I still need a second flip phone for work so maybe I’ll try best buy today. I’m already in love with my flip and it’s still day one with it haha.
@@gabelara5414 my flip died literally 40 days after I got it 😭 everything wiped out and then died an hour later. Ended up with another smart phone BUT I don't use really any social media except fb. Otherwise I just read and color on the phone.
@@ok-carI'm glad you didn't put a space between the "b" in dumb and the "p" in phone so you didn't call everyone in the entire "phone community" dumb.
Glad you're enjoying your phone, Carlie. Thanks for the enjoyable review. It's good to know someone much, much younger than me can be reasonably satisfied with it. I've had the TCL Flip 2 for about a year now and it's perfect for me because I don't use telephones. I just carry mine for an emergency phone (since phone booths and such are a thing of the past). I don't text. The only time I talk on it (and it's rarely) is if I'm shopping and call home to ask a question. It has more bells and whistles than I need or will ever use. I kept adding Tracfone minutes until quite recently and I've now switched to Tello, which gives me 300 minutes of talk and unlimited text (which I don't use anyway) for $6 a month (I may even move down to the 100 minutes a month for $5 plan). But at least I can carry it around in case something happens.
@@ok-car Tello has been around for 8 years now. They use the T-Mobile network. You can customize whatever amount of data and talk/text you want. 2GB of data and unlimited talk & text is $10, but with 10GB of data it's $19 and the unlimited everything is just $25. I switched after watching some very complimentary RU-vid reviews.
aah! literally been considering this phone as of yesterday. all the other reviews i could find were.. well, you know. spookily good timing!! thank youu
Spot on! The most annoying thing for me is the T9 dictionary. Did whoever make that forget "wow" is a word, let alone basic texting lingo like "haha", "lol" and "omg"?!
This one is in my shopping cart right now and your review is super helpful! Im 21 and looking for a work phone in the classroom, and just to help try and disconnect day to day while still staying in touch if people need me! How did you drill the hole in the case?
In a long time I didn't watch someone for the first time and wanted to be friends with.. I'm trying to not to be creepy I'm actually a girl like you😅.. I liked your review on the phone and I wanna buy this phone we share 2 cons: 1- the phone is tall.. I'd prefer to have a shorter flip phone so when I open it it's not so big and when I close it it's small enough to be put in my pocket. 2- if I can't download apps like Google maps, uber, indrive, truecaller and WhatsApp on the phone.. that would be a big con and I wouldn't get the phone if I can't have those cuz I don't wanna walk with 2 phones. So since tcl flip 2 is an android phone.. someone told me I can sideload apps directly (using apk and a data cable) no google play needed in the phone to have the apps you need that are not in your tcl flip 2 phone or any android dumb or feature phones. Can you try that and tell me how did it go?
0:27 I also like the small square screen showing the time.. its really cute.. I have 2 questions.. Can I change wallpapers on home or lockscreen? Can I add memory card to it? If yes how much gigabytes can I add?
haha thank you so much! i often carry this phone folded over my pocket, so part of the phone is sticking out, folded over the fabric of my back pocket. it makes it easier to carry around if i don't put the entire phone in my pocket! and you can sideload apps onto it, but it was too complex for me to figure out. yes you can change the wallpaper and the background of the screen on the outside showing the time. they can be changed to the same photo. and yes you can add a memory card of whatever size you want to the phone!
Ian amazing video, I just bought my own because of this video but I'm still struggling to figure out how to add music to this thing, any help would be greatly appreciated!
thank you! i'm glad to hear you got the phone and i hope you enjoy it! *how to add music to the phone* 1. plug the phone into your computer 2. click and drag mp3 files from your computer to the phone's folder called "music" that's all!
no, the regular ones don't come with whatsapp! but the one linked below is from dumb wireless comes with whatsapp, but it's also $130 compared to $40 for the phone + tracfone plan dumbwireless.com/products/tcl-flip-2#:~:text=The%20TCL%20Flip%202%20is,connected%20with%20people%20on%20Whatsapp.
