Black Christmas (1974), Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984), Christmas Evil (1980), Gremlins (1984), Better Watch Out (2017) And Jack Frost (1997) Are My Favorite Christmas Horror Films To Date. Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) Is Still The Best One Out Of All The Sequels And Remake That They Could Dish Out.
I'm just glad that my generation Texas chainsaw got it right as usual, I'm 38 now and will be 39 on the 22nd I was 18 turning 19 when this came out and still love it, although the original is King our remake is the king in waiting (aka) the prince... *80's Babies 90's kid's, The LAST great generation* 💯
The original Black Christmas is one of the best horror films of all time. The 2019 “remake” is one of the worst films of all time period. You know how people complain about certain movies being “woke” or “advancing a left wing agenda.” Well the 2019 Black Christmas is one of the few movies where those allegations are actually true.
That 2019 movie just stole the Black Christmas name so more people would watch it. If it had used an original name, it would've failed even worse than it did. That title is the only card it had to play.
I didn't see any of the remakes of Black Christmas. Only the original. Just curious. Did the Canadian police just leave the survivor and the dead bodies in the house like the 1974 version?
I actually enjoyed the 2019 “Black Christmas”, but I think it would have worked better with a different name and not be a remake of the original. Unfortunately, Blumhouse had asked for the remake, so that’s what it turned into. Also, up to 30 minutes of the film altered or removed to achieve an unnecessary PG-13 rating.
Yeah… the newest Black Christmas was… a choice. I feel like it should’ve been titled something else so it could’ve been it’s own movie. It just doesn’t fit in the realm of Black Christmas. The multiple villains and all.
The original Black Christmas trumps TCSM for me, as its more a slasher film than TCSM is and i think its a lot more probable than the TCSM would be, but the remake the TCSM definitely wins over the woke BC 2019 remake.

I'm ready to piss off horror fanatics. I think the Texas Chainsaw remake is better, and the original Black Christmas is the most overrated slasher and maybe horror film of all time
