I Know What You Did Last Summer might not have been the pinnacle of 90s
horror, but it sure as hell left an impression. This movie often gets overshadowed and
overlooked, yet it deserves a higher spot among 90s teen slashers. Whether it's a nostalgic
rewatch or a first-time viewing, I Know What You Did Last Summer remains a must-see for its
perfect mix of 90s charm, genuine scares, and timeless appeal.

I had a friend who worked as a Production Assistant in this movie in Southport, NC. I got to meet Jennifer Love Hewitt briefly while on set. This was a fun movie all together.

Helen Shivers was the highlight for me in this film. Her whole chase scene is very hard to top till this day. Also im talking about chase scenes where you think they are safe and then boom, dead. Theres definitely some notable mentions of chase scenes but Helen Shivers takes the top spot everytime.

I grew up in Southport, Nc my father worked as a fisherman for the fish house shown in the film. He said everyone on the cast were nice and the production set let all the fish house workers eat the catering with the rest of the film crew every day.

Sure it's not a prefect movie by any means and was jumping in on back of massive successfully Scream at the time, but I still really enjoy it. Very nostalgic movie for me :-)

I remember going to see this one on opening night, only to not be able to hear a word of it because no one there would shut up. I went back the next night to see it again because I liked what I saw, but needed to catch the story beats. I revisit it every once in a while and think back to when it was considered the next hit for the genre after "Scream." I don't know if I feel the same today, but it is still a fun watch.

First off, thank you for making me cry at the end of that video. I was 10 years old in 1997 when this came out and had just started watching slasher films. This video really took me back. And thank you for that. I never understood why this movie got so much hate. People talk a lot of trash about this, but it is the best of the slasher from that era right after scream. I remember back when scream and I know what you did last summer. We’re literally the only two modern horror franchises we had, not counting Halloween. thank you so much for another great video.

I had just graduated from highschool when Scream was released. I was really happy to see the resurgence of slashers! I've got a lot of nostalgia for the horror movies from around this time. And this is one of my favorites.

These films have alot of nostaglic factor for me i was 14/15 and my friend group watched this movie, along with Scream 1/2 , all the Halloweens, especially H20 as it was of that time and The Craft -The Faculty etc as a British teens we got to relate to US schools and culture, we could relate and we felt understood as the teenagers in Kevin Williamson world, teenagers spoke smater and behaved in ways that were relatable and of that time. The 70s and 80s horror's maybe the golden age of horror movies - but the 90s had some great horror movies in retrospect and their own identity (even if they were following the Scream approach for a while) ....but its nice to see them (films) now appreciated and reappraised / and having new sequels / requels.... . I Still Know also holds a special place in my heart, as i was just 15 when it came out and i had to convince my mom to take me to see it at the local cinema as i was refused entry when i tried prior. The 90s also had some great horror momentd before Scream / IKWYDLS etc, - Candyman , Wes Cravens New Nightmare, Slience Of The Lambs / IT.

This film could be easy set up for a parody. The ninja fisherman that entered the house unseen, stuffed a dead body covered in ice and crabs in a car trunk, then removed the body, ice and crabs in broad daylight in the middle of suburbs in 7 minutes without being seen. It would make a funny comedy.

I liked this movie and the sequel, and it's rewatchable. Nevertheless, for me it's missing that aspect that puts it into the Halloween (1978) territory, though I like it more than most of the Halloween sequels (except H20).

Knowing the circling scene was written by a 12 year old makes the spoof scene of it kinda off. If the wayans bros knew that. They basically mocked a 12 year old in a successful Hollywood movie. Im not like offended for them or anything, just thought of it when I heard that.
