I have only played it once but enjoyed it a lot as I was enthralled with constructing my "engine" at every round's drafting. I lost, of course, but enjoyed that engine building part so much I did not mind. And a game where you can have fun losing is A+ in my book.
You know, Cody? Too often you are the last argument that convices me to buy a game. I've ben avoiding this for a while (over here is reaaaally expensive), but I'm getting it next time I go to my flgs. Good video, man, it's fun to see that enthusiasm for the game.
Cody, have you played INIS? If so, how would you compare Blood Rage to that? And would you recommend Blood Rage or Zombicide: Black Plague? Both are 40% off on Amazon today and trying to make a determination.
I have not played INIS, so I can't help you there. Whoa... Blood Rage vs. Black Plague... That's a tough one. Personally, I would probably give the win to Black Plague by a hair, because I'm a sucker for Zombicide.
Cody, based on what seems your enjoyment of Diplomacy style games you should keep your eye on Rising Sun (if you aren't already). Eric Lang described it as the spiritual successor to Blood Rage, but where BR has its roots in Risk, Rising Sun has roots in Diplomacy.
Coming in late, but this is my favorite game currently. I've played it with 2, 4 and 5. It's easier to teach and learn than it looks. Additional players barely add any length to the game. I love the drafting aspect. There are a ton of different viable strategies for winning. Currently painting mine :)

I have not yet. I've only played it with four players. I think three could work, but I don't know that I'd want to hit it with two. Additionally, I really think five players would shine.
Mikolaj Witkowski I've played 3 player several times and it works well. One good thing about 3p is that each player gets a chance to have the first turn.
I actually wasn't too taken with the game my first several plays, and looking back, I attribute a lot of that to having played only with 5 players. I think it gets too chaotic. It's just too hard to make any of your plans work and gets frustrating. I'll try it again at some point, now that I have more familiarity with the cards, but I think 4 is the sweet spot.
