I read Suzy had to pay off Miss A's debt (the idol group debt with the company) (with her earnings) . unfortunately the other members just weren't popular. I also read Tzuyu of Twice was so popular for her visual, companies wanted to sign her for ads but Jyp insisted only group endorsement.
Don't know if it's true but group endorsement makes sense bc JYP probably doesn't wanna the girls to have akgaes and etc. The opposite happens w Blackpink and the amount of akgaes/solo stans is truly astonishing. All of bc YG is dumb
JYPE don't have trainee debt. The company shoulder the fees for their training. That's the reason their idols can earn as early as their debut year. The reason they stick with group endorsements is they don't want Twice to end up like Miss A. Miss A bagged group endorsements in their debut but JYPE starts accepting TONS of solo endorsements for Suzy and that's the start of their mismanagement.

4:11 i think it also depends on what kind of an image you are portraying, because if the public overtime sees that the performer is kind of "wild" or more on the open side than the fans would have been already used to the possibility. And imo it's always the best (even for innocent image) for performers to talk about what they would like their partner to be like (ideal type) and fan over drama actors because it also brings artist and fan base closer because they can relate to eachother and are more genuine which people always like and support over squeaky clean image which sooner or later will be broken by a scandal of some sorts so... companies should consider this. The longevity of your fanbase and how public will deal with things is in their hands and in simple psychology 🌞

It’s crazy because after the video of Gina saying “dating each other” stans on Twitter ran with it thinking that she meant in the same group. 🤣🤣 And the industry is definitely changing because I haven’t seen idols being bashed for dating rumors as ruthlessly as they used to. I think the influx of international fans and people just getting used to the idea has helped. The more idols that are reported to be dating the more people see it as less of a taboo.
