Hello. Thank you for sharing this information. I do have the Evan Moor Science Skill Sharpener on its way. But, as per your video I'm going to order the geography 5 and 6 grade. Skill sharpener. And Africa to go with my Story of the World. World History. I was not aware of the 7 continents Thank you for your presentation.
There's also a K level geography called Beginning Geography. That's how we were initially introduced to Evan Moor's geography. We use Daily Geography and break it up into two sessions a week. We used the Asia unit last year when we finished our Story of the World curriculum early. Definitely a good overview of the continent and I would say social studies as well.
Appreciate your videos a lot! Would you consider the 6th grade geography workbooks to be okay to use with a 7th or 8th grader? I wish they had workbooks that went through middle school! Or do you have any other recommendations for geography or other subject workbooks like this for 7/8th?
Yay! Thanks so much for doing this video! We were planning on doing world geography next year but after seeing this video I think we'll switch it up a bit and do the Skill Sharpeners Geography! Looks like it's on sale for only $7.79 right now too! Looks really nice. Geography is my daughter's favorite subject. Now I gotta figure out writing and science. And she wants to learn about animals next year, any ideas for that? Doesn't have to be Evan Moor. And for history we're thinking about doing historical figures, I found this book called "The Who Was? History of the World".
If you're wanting to do an in-depth study of animals then you might want to check out one of the Apologia science levels or The Good and the Beautiful's mammals unit.
@@aplacetonest Thanks, I'll look into that. We didn't like the Apologia Botany. I think it was cause at our co-op they were having 6 year old doing the advanced kind, I actually had to pull my daughter out of the class because when we'd go the teacher wasn't doing anything in the class with the kids. We were already doing everything at home. The age limit on it was K-5 which didn't make any sense.
Can kids watch a Science or History and Geography video on You Tube instead of them reading a book so that I do not have to buy so many books nor materials? Then ask them questions about the video and have them write about it.
